Do you think the lore is gone in warcraft?

The lore was never that solid to begin with.

Probably, until they change the formula, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get into the story, though I try every expansion. They could’ve told the DF story with about a 15-minute cinematic, but it was spread out over nearly 2 years with 3-4 month gaps in between.

imagine being a fan of the worgen

lvoe their architecture, their culture, and the theme of werewolves on victorian era streets.

Love the theme of werewolf vs undead.

look forward to reclaiming Gilneas from the vile forsaken who plague bombed it. been building this hype since Cataclysm.

and…not only do we NOT get to fight the forsaken…the VERY ONES WHO BOMBED GILNEAS (looking at you plaguebrewer!) are now allies!!!

against the scarlet crusade who we have NEVER had interaction with as worgen.

Yeah, lore is dead, replaced by “world of friendship” shill writers.

the damage they did…i’d have rather gilneas never gotten its story resolved, than gotten the crap we got…

for a good rundown

Forsaken Paladins when?

they stopped caring a while before shadowlands. right now they’re just on their shill phase. get as much $$$ as possible while exerting as little effort as possible before it collapses entirely. the only people who cant see this are the oldheads still clinging to their nostalgia and praising daddy blizz for the gourmet grey sludge they’re fed.

Its been dead in game. I get more entertainment from the forums when it comes to lore of the players and their arguments. You have your social justice warriors, casuals, trolls, and on occasion players that nuke the forum with a temporary ban topic. The faction pride and lore is gone from the game and has moved to the forums.

Oldhead here and I don’t know about that. I can say TBC and WotLK were pretty epic since you were playing through anticipated story lines based on canon. Cataclysm same thing, but they destroyed the old zones which I did not appreciate at all. Mists and pandas were a stretch. And anything after that seems like they are recycling concepts with different colors with some cool features sprinkled about. But I still log into classic from time to time just to wonder around the old Ashenvale zone. Then back to retail to keep chipping away at the Bloodthirsty title.

What gets me is how my character is the champion of everything? I took a long break from WOW and ended up not playing through several expansions. But now that I’m back and suddenly I’m the Superman of the Hord that everyone depends on? I think they need to redo things so your part of a team of champions in a given faction rather then the champion of the entire faction.

Yeah, I really miss when I wasn’t the XxX Supercool Cosmic Space Time Old God Dragon Slayer Supreme XxX. It’s hard to care about any new threats when you’ve already literally defeated Cthulhu, and his God. So boring.

A paladin doesn’t necessarily mean the same thing for every race. That’s why we have tauren sunwalkers and zandalari prelates. I think orc paladins should be a reformed and redeemed burning blade clan. No longer servants of the burning legion they now revere and wield the power of Rhukmar! Wake of Ashes alone would suit the burning blade clan beautifully.

As for void elves, that ship has sailed.

And frankly, the way she describes it sounds awesome. It feels akin to the original blood knights, where they wield holy power despite its seeming impossibility.

The thing is, the faction removal isn’t really in the story. It’s just gameplay options, for now. The faction spit is still there. In the emissaries you build in TWW, it’s still separated. The cities are still separated.

And the story isn’t gone. WoW’s hasn’t been that great for the most part. And that’s partially because it’s treated like serial fiction, like comic books. Things get changed so much and somethings never expanded upon, so they stop making sense.

Also Goblin links to the SI:7 go way back to Deadmines. Some Goblin groups have always been neutral. They are just there for profit.

Faction removal is part of the lore story, and not just gameplay options. Lore wise, you have alliance in horde cities and orcs in SW.

But most of the neutrality between the races hang out in the mega city of Gadgetzan.

Even the emissaries are just that, emissaries but that doesn’t mean you can’t just walk into it as horde and alliance.

So lore wise, while the horde and alliance might still be split, their people are flowing in and out of the cities for trade or vacation, and yes, people actually go to SW or Ogrimmar for vacation, imagine that.

I haven’t seen this in the lore. Not in the way you word it. Unless you mean visiting for diplomatic reasons.

Haven’t seen this either.

TBC is when WoW made it a pretty big deal that didnt really care about established lore.

You can read about it in one of the adventure books with the kids taveling around the world. Really for children but it is fun.

Takes place after the BFA events.

Oh so something non-canon, gotcha.

No, the book is 100% canon.

Blizz has stated that only certain books are canon.

Yeah, and those books are part of the canon.

No, lol. But thanks for your input.
