I know we’re always supposed to blame ourselves, blah blah, but I just played a match where the healer and I were of comparable rank, and the 4 DPS were 200 points lower than we were.
I play in a way low bracket and I’m overall learning to get better, so somethings are to be expected, but of all the matches I’ve played this month, this had to be the worst collection of DPS players I’ve seen in awhile. The first rounded ended in about 30 seconds when the DH just ran in as fast as possible to the enemy camp. And of course, I get that guy for the first three rounds. I had to tell him “don’t do that ever.”
I’m probably too tilted to play well in the next round anyway, but even if I weren’t, do you say “well it’s probably a bad match up” or do you try again a few hours later after a 5-1 or 0-6?
Bad lobbies happen (especially in lower mmr where nearly everyone is clueless), but it’s not a bad idea to take a break if you’re getting tilted because of it.
Tidy up your room, lift some dumbbells, make a sandwich, make more sweet tea if you’re in the south. Do something other than the game for a bit and then come back and queue some more.
And record your games. Even if you don’t throw every vod to the wolves, you can still look over them personally and see what you did wrong. There’s bound to be mistakes in your gameplay even in bad lobbies where everyone else is a scrub.
Only if I feel like I played it super poorly. Sometimes it feels like I’ll play well then go 2-4, but other times 5-1 or 6-0 despite not really having to actively do anything.
tbh lately i’ve found that if i have 2-3 good lobbies and then one bad lobby i tend to lose more after that.
so after a 1-5 or 0-6 i take a break or hop to an alt
i’ll throw away 3 days of rating just spam queueing instead of playing it smart
I think you may be making a lot of consistent critical gameplay errors if you are really low mmr.
Gameplay aside you are nerfing your healing by like 30% with the gear you have on. Why in the world is half your gear crit vers? Rsham should be mastery in every single slot.
The goal is to get to 130% mastery in arena. It looks like you don’t even have 70%?
Ur also wasting talent points. Astral bulkwork is only good if ur a kill target(you probably aren’t)
Frost shock is a wasted talent point unless ur the guy on the team who has the job of killing fel obelisk and psyfiend and totems(you probably aren’t)
The 2 capacitor totems talents you have are useless unless ur maybe fighting a demo lock and wanna cc tyrant by yourself
Lastly, you don’t have any enchants on any of your gear for some reason? You can get a big healing boost just buying the cheap t2 enchants and putting them on ur gear(especially chest legs and weapon)
Does this require a lot of tech to do? Ive never done this before.
Ha. I consulted a nonpvp website about pvp matters. By the time i checked Murlok io id had 5-6 Conq pieces. Its a known problem im working to correct.
As for my talents, ive been experimenting. Lately ive been going OOM a lot and i might try Mana Spring. Any build you recommend?
I get a shocking amount of stuns/double stuns with Capacitor.
Yeah, i know i am. I dont pretend to be a Glad held back by DPS. I need to get way better at interrupting. I need an addon that tells me when incoming is happening with an easy target option.
If you have a decent rig that can handle recording and storing footage? Not at all. OBS is free (https://obsproject.com) and pretty easy to get up and running.
Depends on context, usually no cause I’m stubborn.
I’m way more likely to stop if I get multiple 3-3s in a row cause that’s just straight up less engaging. It might be fine if 3-3 netted you any kind of conquest but it doesn’t.
