Woke up, can’t go back to sleep, decide to look at forums, surprised at more music answers, scrolls through, reads this one continuing to scroll - then slams on breaks screeching and smoking, 180’s it
Using all my strength not to all cap this but HOW can Anyone LIVE without music? Don’t answer, my heart won’t be able to take it.
Okay up. Headset and CCR Leonard Skinnard Ac/DC here I come!!
I usually turn on music if I need to really get into a RP scene… or am doing something mindless like leveling or gathering, in which I need a distraction from how tedious it is. Can vary from Metal to Miku to synthwave even.
Music when solo or doing any kind of pug content. If I’m doing anything with an organized group of people or anything that asks me to join discord, I turn the music off and listen to the discord.
I can’t listen to novels. … too slow for me, too impatient - the guy that mentions Plato I could probably do or even Odessy or Illiad…that’s a different kind of listening than PD James or NK Jemison. There’s philosophy and then there’s concentrating on plot, words, wonder. Writing is art!
…love Golden’s, Knaacks, & Stackpoole books - read all the Warcraft books in order about 2 - 3 year ago WoW achievement! Lol. Different flavors, but really fun. Their other books like World Atlas is really up there.
If I listen to anything it’s the game sounds and music. Most of the time I don’t put my headphones on though so I don’t feel completely disconnected from my family while I’m gaming.
I play with the WoW music on from the start of the expansion until I get to max level. I feel like it adds to the leveling experience and learning the zones of the expansion. After that, I’m all over the place and don’t enjoy the music changing every five seconds. Plus, I’m not a fan of some of the zone music, so I’d rather not listen to it. I’ll have my own music playing in the background if I want to listen to anything.
I listen to in game music only. It really sets the feeling of the zone for me and gets me into it. Stormwind music may be the only place I can’t listen to it for very long.
