Do you have specs that you absolutely will not play?

If you do, which ones are they, and why?

For me, the two would have to be arcane mage and beast mastery hunter. Arcane annoys me because of its spell sounds and overall “spamminess” and I dunno, it just doesn’t feel as cool as fire or frost do. For beast mastery, well, I’m much more into the archer/rifleman aspect of hunters (though I think the pet is an important component) and leaning on pets heavily feels kinda cheesy to me. I haven’t really played demonology but I would probably dislike it for similar reasons.

Tank or Healer. I have enough anxiety in my life.

Anything that requires some semblance of skill for me.

Feral druid, shaman, most mage classes, unholy dk.

Can relate lol, I used to play my tanks and healers a lot more in high school and college but then adult life kicked in, so now they mostly gather dust.

Across all of my alts, I do not play tanks, since from what I observed seems to be the most intense of the roles. I play any DPS spec, there isn’t one that really sticks out to me as something I don’t like. I’m thinking about dabbling in playing a healer, but i’m unsure.

I have a single holy spec priest, she only comes out for premade 5 man with guildmates. No PUG.

Does this count temporary disinterest until there’s a change? Subtlety rogues are pretty bad.

I have spec that I’ve never played before, for than I’m creating alts to play with

Just to to respond to the tank stuff it ain’t so bad. XD I did it on my Paladin and it felt easy. (Note that I am not a high pusher just go to 10 at most).

I’ve only ever tried vengeance dh once since they came out. Didn’t even make it to 110.

And I haven’t touched brewmaster or mistweaver since MoP and even then it was only briefly to try it out. I just can’t do those three, no interest.

Same experience with my Havoc DH, the only way I can play it is ironically.

DH.

Reminds me of an angsty teenager.

Priest, paladin, or hunter. I can’t tolerate any of those classes regardless of spec. It just feels bad to play to me, Idk what it is.

DH. I just cant play one.

Forced myself to play one in legion just to get both mage tower skin if DH ever become fun to play(for me)

I have specs I won’t play on certain characters. Example, I won’t willingly play ret on my belf pally. It’s bad enough he’s a belf and he’s a pally without throwing ret in there. (lookin for the downvote eh? too bad :sunglasses:)

Oh and Arms. Because it feels like a boring red-headed stepchild of Fury.

MW monk for me. Ever since the beginning of BFA I just can’t get back into them. They used to flow so well.

Didn’t used to be, but it certainly is now :frowning:

I was going to like your comment until I saw what you wrote about Arms.

:rage:

Healing specs. I don’t ever tank, but I occasionally use tank specs to solo stuff or just for giggles.

The most healing I like to do is self-healing or the occasional clutch heal on a DPS, like Balance Druid’s Wild Growth.

I’ve really struggled getting my shaman to 120 considering my distaste for elemental as it sits right now (i used to love it bc-mop), but i switched to enhance and am up to 111. Disc on my priest feels bad in comparison to other expansions even though all my friends who play priest are enjoying it. I’m also doing miserably as shadow but I’m sure that’s just me not having the right traits etc. Affliction feels bad on my lock even though I’ve played as aff since vanilla so now I’m demo. Survival hunter just sounds like a bad time to me, sticking with bm. I’ve never cared for arcane mage. I’ve hated boomkin since the pre-cata patch.

I have one of every class to 120 except mage, shaman, and monk. Those are all 110+. If i didn’t mention a spec i enjoy it at max level in mythics between 5-10
