I don’t, but it is pretty tempting to make another Blood Death Knight or Beast Master Hunter as they’re pretty fun and aren’t complicated.
I usually do.
Leveling a second warrior for RBGs and PvP stuff later this patch, but I already have two at 60+ simply for farming transmog. And having multiple alts of the same class for power farming tier pieces is pretty huge.
Yes.
I leveled this Druid with a friend even though I already had a Druid on the same server.
My old main never stepped a single foot into the Shadowlands, and he never will.
Yes!
i have couple, didn’t want to pay for race change, leveling to 60 is very quick anyway
also with new talent trees leveling feels a bit more fun, you can see the progression of a spec in detail
Yup, my goal is to have a max level of the each class on each faction so that’s at least 2. I sometimes have more than 2 for one reason or another. Like I have 4 paladins (3 alliance and 1 horde) as well as 4 monks (3 alliance 1 horde).
I have about 5 druids. 4 of which are feral. 3 Hunters, 2 are BM.
Oh, and now I have 3 rogues. One of each spec for now as I try to figure it out.
I dont really know how it happened, but here we are.
Certified altoholic. One of each class at 70, and a few duplicates.
Yeah but they were mistakes I made. I would come back from a break for a new expansion and so much had changed I felt clueless. I thought it would be better to level up again so I ended up with several duplicate classes.
This turns out that’s not be the best approach because
- it takes more time to re-level than it does to learn the changes, and you have to learn the changes anyway
- Now I have random things unlocked on 1 character that are not unlocked on the others. Like the portal to Vashj
For some classes. I find it real easy to relevel warriors and paladins, so I have a few abandoned ones. Some classes I can’t level duplicates without it feeling like a waste of time. (Also I used to play tons with my wife and I have alts that get no play unless its with her own characters)
Simple answer to this question… yes…I got duplicates of several classes. Like one mage for each spec or just race class combos I thought would be fun. I mean I made a vulpera warlock with the sole intention of having her cause a pestilence of dots on people. To my surprise affliction also got the soul rot ability so… I got a feeling she’s going to have a fun time when i get around to leveling her. I’m currently trying to figure out what I’d like to make another panda as honestly lol.
I do but they’re mainly just there to fulfill a transmog fantasy and then they’re retired
I always have multiples. How else are you supposed to farm for transmog?
I have at least 2 of everything and 4 Hunters for some reason. All 60+.
I had 7 60 hpals in shadowlands lol
Down to only two 70s now (mainly due to hpal not being fun) but still playing two of the 60s daily for farming argus things
A huge part of the fun in this game for me is questing and leveling, so I have a lot of alts, and with those alts I’ve tried all specs and at the end of the day, I prefer to play the specs I like the most, so that is what I do when I make a new alt. I never delete high level alts, so when I want to make a new character, I just focus on it as though it’s a new adventurer out in the world and go from there, so yes, I have a lot of the same classes, although none of the same race/class combos as another.
For example, I have a bunch of BM hunters, however with all but one I focus on a theme and only tame pets in that theme(fire, mech, undead etc). Have a couple sub rogues, a few WW monks and 2 BM monks, a few fury warriors because I love dual wielding looks and a couple mages, DKs and DHs that have the same spec.
Sometimes I “shelf” alts. Ones I don’t really feel like playing anymore but don’t want to delete them either. Sentimental reasons usually.
My orc hunter, orc death knight and troll rogue have been retired in this way. I made a zandalari hunter, and a vulpera DK and rogue in their place
Indeed. Some of the same race, even. And then sometimes I’ll delete one, and make another with the same race, class, spec… but with a whole new name and personality.
My OCD only allows one of each.
Exceptions being my bank alt, and my original serious toon (Undead Priest after my actual 1st Mage toon was deleted) stuck on the Horde side with me too cheap to faction change her over.
I should probably get to 70, unlock the Horde Allied races then faction change. And delete my Alliance Priest.
Yup! I don’t know why. They just happened. It’s not my fault! Reminds me, I need a third DK, thanks!
