Do you have faction pride?

She is so completely zealous for the Alliance. Every time I log onto my goblin alt to keep her up to date, my daughter (she’s a teen now) stands behind me making creative jabs and heckling me for playing with “an evil abomination for your avatar, Mommy.”

LOL. She’d be better for sure.

It feels like honestly, they just don’t care

The worst part is they have this thin vale like they actually care about us. No they don’t. This faction just a tool for them. Sad.

That’s how it feels. Whenever the Horde has problems, we save them

I’m going too burn them like they burned my family alive.

I have Racial Pride more than Faction Pride. Always wanted Blood Elves and I’m down with anything that elevates them!

That’s all you need sister Meriweather <3

I have DI pride, even though I don’t have one, those are some cool dwarves

Why don’t you get one?

We’re so badass. Just in general.

I don’t get it either. The Alliance murder the king of the trolls. The idea the daughter of the old king, would simply knell before the Alliance. Seems hard to believe. This usually sparks multi-generation conflict.

I really don’t care. I play a Zandalari to play a Zandalari.

As many as it takes to get the DEVS to stop it.

My problem right now is all the whiny NEs still crying over something that happened months ago. Please save me from this, Obi-wan!

In all honesty I do have to agree. The RP / community divide is interesting but I’ve been sorely, sorely disappointed. I remember my reaction when the Sylvanas warbringer dropped.

I was annoyed and angry. and disappointed? I also have very low expectations for the majority of Sylvanas loyalists as a whole because many of them don’t even understand Sylvanas’s character. They just tend to think that she’s always been evil and that they play Horde and side with her because they want to be the evil faction.

This is simply not true. The whole point was that yes, she would do awful, disgusting things. But the idea was that there was generally a good reason for it. That doesn’t excuse her previous warcrimes or parallels with the Lich King, but it does put things into perspective.

If you don’t believe me, just play Warcraft 3. Her whole story was that of a rebel. A freedom fighter that would lead a group of people that have been shunned, rejected, and actively killed for the abominations they are.

What good reason did she have for burning down a world tree? Without speculation, we’re left with what we get. And what we got was that she wanted to spite some poor dying night elf.

She would have known that it would spark a massive retaliation. Saurfang pointed it out. And they did.

And she executed Zelling simply for stepping out of line.

So this leads my character to be in a very… uncomfortable position. You see, I am clearly an undead death knight. So I don’t get to have a happy story. And I feel, despite how I believe that the forsaken aren’t evil by default and have learned about old Horde values like honor and strength, that I still have to bring pain and misery in my wake.

Because my character is little more than a tool or instrument of war, essentially. It took me a damn long time to choose to side with Sylvanas. Because truth be told I didn’t want to. I as a player can’t get behind her. And not just her, I can’t really get behind this whole story either.

So I’m left with just blindly placing my faith in choosing to side with Sylvanas for this narrative purpose because I’m still desperately clinging to this 4D chess nonsense that maybe there’s something bigger at play that would perhaps give us the good reason we’ve been looking for.

I shouldn’t really be getting my hopes up. But I recall that, literally in Legion, we find out that the Light corrupts. That was a huge plot twist. And I remember being completely and utterly shocked by that revelation. It’s an insignificant detail to the average player that doesn’t pay much attention to lore, but that’s the thing. This changes everything.

So I’m back to where I started now, where I’m just going off of speculation at this point. A gamble, essentially, where I am literally putting all of my trust and my faith into the least likeable character in the game. It better pay off or else I’m just not going to be happy. I don’t know if I’ll unsub or anything, but i’ll just feel a sense of dread every time i log into this character. And that’s not what I want.

The thing is, I’m not asking for Sylvanas to be infaliable and perfect, and that she is a good character that was just misunderstood or corrupted this whole time.

All i’m asking is for her to have a good reason for doing those things. That’s all. Let it actually have nuance again.

For the black harvest? But yeah… not really.

not at all.

Arshia has Dwarven pride.

People aren’t mad about the tree burning

It’s when the devs say oh you got ur vengeance already. Like what!! No no no no we did not. It’s the stupidity that infuriates people.
