Do you believe in the soul?

Look at it this way…we are made up of atoms and molecules. Those at their basic level have an innate necessity to survive, but they also create a sense of individuality, which is weird that we’re the only organism that can communicate that in unique ways amongst one another and create things beyond nature.

As far as I know, there has to be a soul because there’s just some things that feel like they transcend time and space. there has to be a way we connect with the Earth and the people around us and a soul is part of that.

I agree, but it goes both ways too.

Like all things, it’s not what you expect and it has definite ups and downs.

Seeing how good Generative AI and other AI models are becoming.

No. we don’t have souls, just a fleshy pattern recognition computer with long and short term memory and other stuff.

Do gingers have souls is the real question.

i mean i dunno

i don’t think it really makes a difference.

whatever the topic, the mind creates these barriers throughout life, cementing some beliefs. might be through education or lack thereof. might be through experiences, single and powerful, or repeated and constant.

i think it may be equally difficult for those flat earthers to believe that the Earth might be an irregularly shaped ellipsoid as it would be for some people who were brought up in a religious household to believe that they are not, in fact, responsible for saving the souls of infidels from eternal damnation

That was answered pretty early on.

Only the ones they steal.

I so badly want to comment, to jump in here, but I feel like a car trying to make a turn against traffic and it’s always “eh…it looks close…damnit, I coulda’ gone”. And I refrain and just want to observe and reflect.

And the 4th-dimensional equivalence of opposing directions

Satan, the enemy, is the one who wants to punish you. He stands in the heavenly courtroom before God as the accuser, accusing you & I according to what the law says.

But Jesus, who stands in our defense, came to bring us freedom from the power of the law, which ultimately brings death.

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. - 1 Cor 15:57

You have to understand God’s heart.

He would rather die than live without us

Everytime we fart, a piece of our soul escapes the body.

Why would I pick this time and place tho?

“DO IT!”

Farts are skitty ideas that weren’t allowed to travel up to our brain

But does it change/alter your point of view? is that not all a soul is. Your point of view. You see through your eyes. I see through my own. You are you. I am me. Our memories and personalities have no thing to do with these statements. It’s about our perception. Now do we have some sort of perception, some sort of point of view after death? who knows. Maybe 7.
