Nah. Weâre about three pounds of salt, water, fat and protein piloting a meat suit that will eventually break down in any one of a myriad of ways, telling itself fairy tales to try and make sense of the weird input that the display, audio, and other sensor ports are sending it. Sometimes the meat sloshing around in our heads needs to defrag and reformat, and the weird random signals as memory is chemically encoded deeper in the head-meats is turned into a narrative while we sleep, because the meats have evolved through natural selection to make connections between things so that weâre less inclined to pick up long green sticks because sometimes they hiss and bite us.
When the ball of folded electrical meat piloting our suit gives out, either directly or because the suit breaks and canât supply it with the oxygen needed to create the chemical reactions that fire the continued electric impulses that keep the entire shebang from powering down, then the sack of spongy wet gray stuff sends out a mess of final random signals, shuts down beyond the point of repair and starts to decay, like all organic matter no longer being sustained by its own or outside systems does.

Iâm not worried about where Iâm going to end up after I die. What I believe has evolved over the course of my life and I am content and confident that my faith is is right for me. I donât need to push my faith on anyone else because faith is a very personal experience and trying to force it into a rigid set of rules seems a bit intrusive, for lack of a better word.
