Wil we be able to stay logged in when the switch gets flipped or do we need to reload the game?

Back in OG wrath we didn’t.

Quest will activate at 6pm Est.

I think it’s just flip switching.

Make sure you log on all your alts at least once though so you start racking up rested exp!
