Do they refund 6 month subs?

I did the 6 month sub thing but just learned about no RDF in wotlk. This kinda makes it not worth it to play wrath now, does anyone have any knowledge on whether they’d refund like 5 months worth and just bill me for the first month?

I don’t believe so. The subscription discount is offered because you’re making a commitment to 6 months of subscription. I would still check with support/billing, but it’s unlikely you will get the outcome you desire.

You might as well play WotLK anyway, if that was your intent prior to no RDF. You lose nothing further and you may well find that you enjoy the game, in spite of this feature not being present. You’ve already paid for it.

They will only refund subs if not a single day has been used.

If a day has been used your only options is stop payment and this will result in a perm account closure.

The only other option is a rare thing but if you can show military service or similar will happen durring that time you can get a stop to the sub not a refund for when you return.

Thats not how consumer rights work. Settling for an inferior product is a terrible habit, the market is full of offerings and the only way companies take notice of your preferences is when you vote with your wallet.

They wont. Fight the charge with your bank or if not billed yet cancel payment / the card and let it bounce.

It’s not blizzards fault the op “just learned” about no RDF.

Blizzard has been incredibly transparent for about 4 months now.

Rdf will not be in wotlk. Period. End of story.

One would just expect Classic Wrath to have RDF. It is assumed by many that it will at least have it by ICC. As much as some of you don’t want to hear. There are people that loved this feature and came back just for it. So its not surprising that many including myself showed up and expected this feature to at least be added later. I found out three days after returning. It’s not classic Wrath without it.

Sorry last I played classic was releasing and there was a big push for “no changes” to an authentic experience. And having played Wrath when it originally released I remember RDF was included so assumed it would be included now.

If you (or others) wanted to pursue this, you would need to make the case that the absence of RDF makes WotLK, in at least the entirety of phase 1 an inferior enough product to warrant a refund.

While you could argue that RDF was the only reason you wanted to play WotLK at all and without it, the entire expansion is dead to you, I suspect that you might have difficulty convincing any court that this premise is reasonable. However, stranger things have indeed gone through and so I wish you the best!

Rdf was included in the very last part of WOTLK during ICC.

It’s possible they add it then. Who knows

For starters, Wrath isn’t Classic WoW, neither was TBC. They’re retail’s first and second expansions.

Do you need to go to court over 90$? The US people really have way too much time on their hands.

I mean, you’re the one saying you wanna fight the fight, not him. How would you realistically expect it to proceed?

In my country? Cancel card → get chargeback → get new card → blizzard gets nothing.

I believe you would still be legally accountable for the cost of goods/services you have partially used (ie, 1 month out of a 5 month sub that has already been paid for), per the contract you agreed to when you made the purchase.

I mean, you can try though. I’d be surprised if it turned out in your favour but maybe you can slip through the cracks?

OP, only do this if you are done with Blizzard forever. Your battle.net account will be banned. So not only wow, but OW, Starcraft, Diablo, etc.

Chargebacks will get your account closed for good. If you don’t care then sure you can do that.

The contract will be voided, account will be closed but no further action will be taken. So no, Blizzard wont sue you over the 15$ they are ‘owed’. Or they can try to sue me here for it, see how well that works.

no , they could probably refund the same day, but after a month ? probably no.

also don’t be a karen and enjoy the game. let’s be honest it was not the “lack of RDF” that troubles you. also you are a grown person make better consumer choices in the future

You’re absolutely right, it was definitely a poor financial decision to subscribe to a dying Blizzard game this late in their company’s life. But yeah I wouldn’t be doing a chargeback, I’m not THAT hard up for $68.

that level 60 DK you’re posting as suggests you’ve been getting your money’s worth in retail
