Do pl; really not want cata? I dont egt it

I believe, most of them would just be happy to hear that wrath will get era servers. They just don’t want to be forced into cata or pay way to much to “clone” their chacters. Thought that was a mistake when going from vanilla to tbc. If there is a charge at all, it should be very low for the whole account. Provided there is wrath era servers.

Is that when hunters lost beast lore??? Ok now I don’t want cata!!!1111one

I’m actually excited about holy power. I’m playing ret now in wrath and it’s fun, but it’s basically just whack a mole, hitting whatever is off cooldown. I think holy power will add some much needed structure. I don’t mind combo points, and holy power is on the paladin rather then the target, so way better then actual rogue combo points.

I played a paladin back in original cata, prot focus but ret off spec for PvP and stuff, and while I can’t remember it exactly I certainly don’t remember hating it.

And hey if it drives away some other ret paladins then great.

TBF I am just happy to have more options to play WoW in general.

We don’t even know what IT is yet? How can you say that?

I don’t see a scenario in which they don’t keep Wrath.

It’s most popular classic expansion, and has tokens which generate revenue. And they invested into it with gamma dungeons.

Cata is controversial, it’s too risky for Blizzard, they don’t like risks.

Wrath servers are staying, cata classic is a probability though, so there will likely be both.

No Cata, stay in WotLK or Jump tp Pandaland

Eww. Skipping the greatest pvp expansion of all time is a mistake!

As others have stated, just create servers for all the era-classic expansions. There is enough interest in cata but not everyone wants to continue. Giving people options isn’t a bad thing. I support era servers, just as I support cata servers.
Let players play whatever expansion they want to play… that’s the whole effing point of this game. At least that’s how it should be.

It’s a factual statement. At that time Cata was the worst WoW expansion. It was the first expansion that had sub losses. Cata had massive negative feedback. It objectively was worse than the massive success of TBC and Wrath.

Its not 2012 anymore. Cata has aged well.

Ok First and I say this with absolutely no disrespect intended Speaking from someone that uses talk to tax because they’re not a good speller.

I’ll be honest my dude I don’t understand about 20% Of what you’re even trying to ask I mean when you’re putting numbers in Actual words.

I’m not really sure wager you are trying to ask As far as do people want cata There are Are there people that don’t want it yes me personally I am excited for it.

On top of fact you’re basing your I’m assuming what you’re trying to say is many interviews You’re basing that off of one server In ogremar ummmm.

That’s a very small portion of the player base On top of that I didn’t see what server you were on but Depending on the population that could reduce that number even more.

I’m excited for cata Because I want to see what blizzard does with it And hot Take The world was so much better after cata Revamp in my opinion.

I think there is some chance we might see this happen. If/when they announce WOTLK era servers, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear they are adding TBC to go with them. There is a good vocal group that wants it, and I might be naive but I don’t see it being a ton of work for bliz.

Okay, you can say that you prefer focus and the playstyle, but I don’t and it’s not the same as literally the first 3 expansions generally referred to as “classic”

What we got with TBCC and WotLKC was nothing like the original “classic” .
Vanilla was basically unchanged but everything that came after was drastically different.

Except they already tried that with classic/tbc, and it failed miserably. There will be Cata, and no wrath servers. Easier to monetize Cata Premium boosts and pet/mount than selling tokens on wrath era when they get dominated by gold sellers. Its not gonna happen. Let it go. Let it goooooo. :singer:

but they’d enjoy being stuck doing icc and ulduar forever with no further progression lol

I think it’d be stupid for blizz to not do cata at this point, theres a bunch of new to the series players in classic because the barrier to enter retail is too steep. Cata is significantly closer to retail in terms of gameplay when compared to pre, it would be nice if they found a way to merge class design some point between cata and mop with retail so that the thousands of players looking for something to do don’t have to depend on blizz re releasing content. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if they intend on doing every expansion “classic”. Its purely a cost calculation and until they have a single expansion which doesn’t profit they would be stupid to stop under the merit of “its not classic”

Relatively speaking that’s true. 2 million subs were lost during cata. But that is only a 17% sub loss. 10 million people played all of Cata into MoP, which was a success by any standard. Every other mmo at the time would have been ecstatic if they could have just reached 10 million subs. You can’t extrapolate from what happens on the forums to the much larger player base. The vast majority of players never post or even read the forums.

i was an anti cata-er since the day cata launched but the more i play wrath the more i kind of want cata to happen because i realize all the QoL that cata came with including pvp gear being vastly more powerful in pvp and vastly reducing the need to pve just to be in the best gear

it really isn’t. i don’t know where people got this idea from, but Cata is more like Wrath than Dragonflight. sure some changes they made in cata have stuck such as holy power and hunter focus, but the classes are drastically different than they are in cata and they have been since Legion.
