so the meaning of the post above is the interlocutor explaining that he doesnāt understand how the class works, and is conflicted when witnessing his style of play, whether the other players didnāt have enough damage to complete the challenge, or whether our support wasnāt compensating the fact that he has no damage

Why cant you trust Blizzard? What have they done with Aug to make you think you cant trust them? And trust them to do what?

Blizzard nerfing the tanks while ignoring that all those groups theyāre looking at also have Aug Evokers.
Delete the spec.

I donāt hate it, but the sheer amount of hate on Preservation and Devastation in groups is absolutely ridiculous.

Whatās the point of playing other specs if players are too spoiled of Aug. I demand it to officially switch to Tank role.

Blizzard canāt even design the 6 tanks they already have.
Aug was a massive mistake; either delete it, or turn it into a āsupport specā the same way Enhancement Shaman is.

No, its the players behind it you should be worried about. I made for a terrible augvoker in raids but great in M+. I stopped and just went back to good ol DH. Its about being able to click specific people for the buff which I HATED and found unfun.
Thatās the thing - itās not even fun gameplay.
I know many Aug evokers, none of them actually enjoy it.

Itās broken in high keys because the thing is Augās power depends on how good the rest of the group is which tells you just how bad it can be in low keys.

This is pretty much the problem I had with it, all of the people screaming for me to play Aug in their easy key was annoying. Was funnier because almost every key I was kicked from for being Dev (even noted that I was Devastation) ended up being bricked anyways so they saved me some time.
That, and the loudest Augvoker I met was awful in both attitude and game knowledge.

I genuinely donāt think Iāve ever seen one in a 5 man party, and any Iāve seen in LFR have been drowned out by all other LFR nonsense.
My general opinion of evokers is neutral but skews slightly to the negative, as I found my own DPS one boring when I made and leveled it to whatever level it is when it got to SW.
I seen really good players playing Aug and see how it affects the groupā¦ Iām average at best and mediocre at worst depending how demanding is the group, but the class support is powerful, so much so that most of the time I get mark with other Aug in LFR by healers as secondary priority targets to keep alive. (IMO this has been my experience as a casual player canāt speak for anyone else)
Howeverā¦ a LOT of my irl friends and players I met would have prefered Evoker would have had Aug as Tank that buff party than what we got.
That and the fact that Evokers are only Dracthyr, their Visage is so limited and you canāt stay in it casting most of your abilities (because most I play with literally canāt stand how Darcthyr look) or take the form of other races and no 3rd Drakonid Hulk Version to the draconic body option on CC you know like how Sarkareth look when in his final Void Meta form?
My rlf and players met alike, chose not to play for long or at all. Not sure if my real friends and does players count as a demographic of the players who didnāt like Evoker but thats what my experience has been.
As for me Iā¦ am okish with Evokers as Aug being DPS because I never like playing Tanks or Healers on any MMO games (Also its great when you have a friend that sucks at healer but persist to be one, we can get him to be this instead while not getting us killed, itās a win win in that situation lol 
).
As for the more visual aspectā¦ If they ever enhance and give more CC options for Darcthyr adding body type 3ā¦ I CHANGE MINE FASTER THAN A HEARTBEAT! In fact if Iām not sub I sub just to make that change to this Alt Character I use! Also would make my Drakthyr look Half-Elf Human or Kul Tiras if that is added with that to match my big scales! 
After playing so many recent RPG I become such a sucker for Visuals stuff to match the Character whole theme Fantasy! 
Either way, I donāt see a perfect solution. Theyāre not going to delete it. Deleting the spec confirms they screwed up and clearly had no idea what theyāre doing.
I thought tanking is a great idea. A lot of people want Shaman earth based tank considering they wield the power of elements. So far, no such thing exist, however Aug have a lot of earth based abilitiesā¦
The game would be better off without augmentation and itās not even a question.

In-game, I didnāt play quite a lot with my Aug Evoker, but I donāt think I ever experience griefing or hate. All the opposite, actually. The āAn Aug, niceā comment happened quite often.
When Iāve played as Preservation, sometimes (not often, but itās happened) people has asked me if I can go Aug instead.

I donāt hate it I just donāt quite fully understand the gameplay. And then I get too nervous about practicing in even non heroic dungeons.
Could probably practice with the follower dungeons. Iāve just been playing other games atm
Iād imagine a Aug Evoker being similar to a Hunting Horn main showing up in Monster Hunter World. Bit underplayed but when they do show up you are just a god

Aug could be converted into a very cool tank spec pretty easily. Just switch some of the buffs to self-only and Ebon Might into some kind of active mitigation. Instead of damage or adding more CC, things like Upheaval could weaken autoattacks for a short time.
