ship sailed when pandas became death knights. and frankly it makes absolutely zero sense that a race can be a holy priest and a warrior but not a paladin.
Immersion always matters unless you lack the attention span. Hate the go go go mentality of todayâs playerbase⌠Iâm tired bossâŚ
Thatâs not immersion breaking. Nor is paladin/druid/shaman/monk being universal of course, but, Pandaren corpses absolutely existed during the period of the Lich King.
Blizzard is on record saying the options given to players are all canon. So yeah apparently some of those Darkfallen raised in Darkshore were druids since we can play em like that. shrug
Its not like its a huge stretch anyways.
ChatGPT ahhh OP
Most likely, yeah.
Dracthyr and Earthen could easily be Death Knights but they didnât make them Death Knights because they said the lore wouldnât make sense, it has zero to do with animations, actually Earthen even had Death Knight as a class choice before they took it away so yeah.
If it doesnât affect you, why are you in such a twist if it happens? This is what the main argument boils down to from the other side âI donât care/donât like it, so it shouldnât happenâ
itâs just selfish really.
I never said I would be, I just agree certain race and class combos are stupid and would be stupid.
Why should I be supportive of it happening or care if it happens if I donât care or like it? I mean I donât benefit at all because I already got my Warlocks for all so.
Itâs not selfish to want to ruin everyone elseâs immersion? I mean from other people replying in this thread apparently it does actually bother others so why does you wanting it hold more weight than them not wanting it?
This. Who even cares anymore. Just unlock everything.
Why? I donât get why it would?
Itâs ok, donât worry.
I say open up all classes to all races. If you donât like playing a certain race/class combo, then donât.
Semper Fi!

sure, buddy.
Because it assumes only the orc and tauran culture with the shamans is the correct way to be a shaman. Trolls culture arenât the same nor many other shamans in wow.
Tauran and orcs are very similar but the rest arenât. Funny enough, Dreanai is also very close to the orcs with the elements with a small difference is that the space goats believe the elements are just parts of the light, which they kinda are right.
You donât have to be supportive, but youâre actively advocating that other players should not be able to enjoy the game in a way that self admittedly doesnât affect you, nor do you claim to care about. Thatâs just black and white selfish, I donât see any other way to put it.
âIt doesnât benefit me, because I already have what I want, yet I still hope you donât get what you wantâ Again, selfish.
Itâs not ruining your immersion anymore than me running around dressed up as a murloc with fairy wings swinging a fish does. Youâre just creating arbitrary rules that you think everybody should be forced to abide by.
Every single time I see a tauren rogue or tauren priest I think of how ridiculous it is, but Iâve never once cared that somebody else found it cool, funny, whatever connected them with it, and I would never advocate that they shouldnât be able to play the game in a way that doesnât actually affect me in the slightest simply because I find their race/class combination nonsensical.
Itâs not my story they are playing, itâs their own. Your âimmersionâ is only âruinedâ because you choose to get upset by something that doesnât actually affect you. You can simply mind your business and your problem goes away.
So no, itâs not selfish of me to say I think people should be able to play the game without arbitrary race/class limitations.
Iâve never seen them claim the Elements are bits of the Light? Where is that? (really just curious not saying youâre wrong)
This. Every time this stupid topic burbles up from the rot, I just feel exasperated. Blizzard does not respect their IP anymore - they have not for years; and they can and will make things up.
Void Elf paladins will happen. Just deal. Stop worrying about it. Azeroth is not an ontologically sound world - it is a stage where nothing is happening off-screen. The writers literally do just do whatever they want.
You can talk to their npcs and they talk about it. Also in the unbroken short story where the paladin becomes a shaman.
NPCs like in the Exodar?
Iâll go review Nobundoâs story. I donât remember it but thats neat. Thank ye!
Technically they already have in game. We have one in the Telogrus Rift. I do hope they expand and explain how that works entirely. It actually sounds intriguing.
