No matter what, this man needs to stay alive. He’s one of WoW’s funniest villains, and we need something in the game to remember the legacy of Bobby Kotick.
I can easily see Gallywix pressing some kind of escape button to get out of dodge. For hilarity it could see him blasting off Team Rocket style.
He’ll surrender, and then be a phased NPC in Orgrimmar, picking up litter.
My money is on him having an escape pod, but it misfires and lands in the middle of the boss platform. Then he is suddenly willing to negotiate.
Knowing Blizzard they probably will. Plus it would make some players who were slaves to Gallywix during the Cataclysm not very happy he gets to go away scott free after dooming his whole cartel and making poor people into slaves for his money empire.
You know I wonder if his second in command Druz will also be a raid boss or the new Delve boss.

Gallywix is a Dreadlord, we’re gonna find out for real finally.
I was thinking it should shoot him face first into a wall.
Maybe he could ricochet back into the arena?
I can’t imagine anyone being mad Gallywix wasn’t killed. I don’t see a lot of extreme Gallywix haters.
If Blizzard kills Gallywix, it’s yet another Horde character being made a raid boss. If they have Gallywix as a protagonist, it’s “Here goes Blizzard with Gallywix. Again.”
He really has little to add to the story.
They’re damned if they do and don’t with this character, no matter what they do with him it’s going to upset a portion of the playerbase.
I would accept him facing Goblin justice and having all of his assets stolen, in a totally legally defensible way of course.
Gallywix never should’ve been a Horde leader to begin with. Thrall should’ve killed him back in Cata.
“…and that’s why I (probably not Horde or a Goblin main) think it is okay to kill another Horde faction leader.”
Don’t care. Stop. Get help. Seek treatment.
I mained Horde from Vanilla to MoP and still play both sides, even if my main is Alliance.
This is the part I just don’t get.
When he was first introduced he was pretty universally hated, by Goblin players. Players asked for him to be replaced for a long time. Then he was replaced, by a pretty universally liked character. Replacing him sure seemed like Blizzard responding to player feedback. And it seemed like everyone was happy.
Now there are people acting like it is this huge loss to the Horde for him to be killed. It just doesn’t seem to fit.
I can’t help but feel like it is just a couple people making a stink just for stinks sake and a lot of people just jumping on the bandwagon.
Oh, my mistake.
“I mained Horde up until the death march of its leaders began, and that’s why I think it is okay to kill another Horde faction leader.”
Anybody asking for less of Darin De Paul hamming it up in game is objectively wrong.
I don’t want Queen Azshara to come back and lead the Night Elves, but that doesn’t mean I want her to get killed off. It’s the same thing here, except there’s been no comparable pattern of Alliance leaders dying off.
But he fit well the horde with Garrosh and Sylvanas until he was hunted by the same people that he wronged in the past.
