Do Kids actually enjoy the Rap Music of today?

Modern rap is awful. A lot of it is them singing the same couple lines over and over with autotune… not even rapping.

If you say boomer music is bad, you have very poor taste.

I can’t stand that mumble rap.

Hey man, juice goin down as one of the greats of this generation.

The older generation doesn’t understand the new generation and they will do the same to the generation after them typically

This of course does not apply to everyone but you can safely assume you’re taking boomerform when the radio annoys you and you start taking the news “very seriously”

I always tease my daughter. It’s all “whaa whaa whaa” whining from overly tattooed teenagers. I miss when rap was angry and had a beat (80’s).

He should collaborate with smoothie king. That would be straight up delicious.

Finnish Viking Metal is all I listen too now these days

6ix9ine is the best rap has to offer.

Jk

Some “modern” mainstream rap to get you thinking: J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, YBN Cordae, Anderson .paak. Logic, Mac Miller

Non mainstream: Joyner Lucas, Montana of 300, Felly, Chester Watson

I think even mumble rap has that, what’s missing is lyricism lol. You might be looking for stuff like Run the Jewels or Death Grips though.

Almost every rapper today sounds exactly the same thanks to auto-tune. I guess it’s good for all the tone-deaf people who can sound like they have some rhythm.

$uicideBoy$ is the only rap I listen to but my god i love them

i always thought of sweden when i hear viking metal… like Amon Amarth

for bands from Finland, i generally go with melodic death like Insomnium or Wolfheart or whatever Wintersun is…

I’ve been hooked on Weedeater lately.
The band that moonshine built…

Depends on which decade. The 80s in particular had more than a few terrible rock bands.

I don’t think a lot of the 80s bands go the credit they deserve. They were hated in the 80s by radio - radio only played boomer music from the 70s unless you listened to college radio after hours. Bands like Iron Maiden only made it to 4 radio stations in the US and only lasted a week (2 were in the Baltimore / DC area) - and they are still immensely popular around the world today.

I am not a huge fan of hair metal, but it was no worse than the bubble gum rock of the 60s and 70s.
