Do any of you think the next expansion will be different in terms of everything that has happened and being more mindful of all quality of life (alt friendliness, catch up, and accountwide things) from day 1 and throughout the whole expansion and stuff? And do you believe that they will be more accepting to change and finding common grounds with the community as a whole going forward?

I just want them to stop over valuing raiding/m+ and put more effort into the rest of the game. I’m not hopeful.

The pragmatist in me says most likely not. The optimist in me says the reason the next ex-pac is still a long way off is because the dev team decided they need to revert many of things they already had planned/implemented for the next ex-pac based on the mistakes they made in this one.

No, not with the same team. It’s going to be more of the same thing. If you liked BfA and like SL then you’ll probably like the next expansion as well.
For the game to actually change it requires the current lead designers to be replaced. Preferably with people who actually have a passion and want to make a good game.

M+ / raiding will not change , maybe 10 man raiding back.
i expect massive new features in world content / pvp / professions
My expectations are very low.
Just give me sea, beaches, mountains and inns.
And possibly some dragons.

It’s safer to keep very low expectations right now. Blizzard has a lot to work on, and a lot of trust to regain. 9.2 is a good start, and 9.2.5 is also a good sign, but we’ve seen it before. Blizzard seemingly learning their lesson only to make the same mistake again anyway.
I don’t know what to think. Two bad expansions in a row has me very tentative to believe they’ll ever change. If nothing else, I know the questing will be fun and the raids will be (hopefully) good.

It’s possible, but I don’t think they’ll learn much. They have a habit of repeating the same ol’ things then fixing it, apologizing, then doing it again, rinse and repeat.

Much higher chance it’ll just be more of the same just with a different paint job. We still got a while before the Micro$oft acquisition has a chance to make any meaningful changes.

I have faith that they will dial back on the amount of systems we get(at least at release), we dont need 4 different stuff that need to be farmed to be able to play your character at a competitive level.
It just make people not want to play the game and never level up alts.
I anticipate it’ll be much worse.

I hope it is. I highly expect it will not. Not going to pre-order till I know, and since I’m likely not getting a beta invite I’d expect I’ll have to wait till at least the PTR is up
Not expecting any major changes until MS takes the reins.
The people who is running needs to be changed to have a different/better perspective of things. The issue is, the current leads(Ion, Danuser) think they are doing great.

That’s not how it works but okay. Keep on blaming Danuser for everything when he only wrote 9.1 and 9.2 and not the whole of shadowlands. If you wanna blame him fine blame him.
So he wrote the worse parts?
Lol ok.

As long as they keep trying to shoehorn WoW into the esport arena it won’t happen.

I’m kind of optimistic given the post-lawsuit things that have been put in, e.g. more customisation, upcoming cross faction stuff etc.
Big story stuff, not so optimistic with current team. Same for the heart of the game design. But we’ll see.
