(From my perspective) The whole point and hype of Classic WoW was to re-create the “Classic” or “Vanilla Experience”. Well we got it… For a moment…
With the release of DM dungeon came a NON TRUE VANILLA DM EXPERIENCE specifically changes related to the increased difficulty on Tribute grp runs / Solo Runs / King Gordok changes, and possibly more.
It’s kind of a kick in the you-know-where when you are excited for 6 Phases of TRUE CLASSIC over the next coming potential year(s) - then on the first Phase release (half release 1.5) it’s already changed? That’s disheartening and makes me worry for phases 2,3,4,5,6. What’s going to be different next? This minor change isn’t the Classic Experience everyone fought so hard for.

A: Its not hard to do a tribute with a group, did at least 3 today, got my Tarnished Elven Ring too.
B: All those other changes were in previous patch notes prior to 1.12, since we are on the 1.12 base client, we already have those changes, regardless of the phase.
Nothing has actually changed.

Dire Maul feels exactly like it did back then.
Are you mad you can’t just AE it down? You have to actually use CC and solid play?
But I remember this stuff being as hard as it was back then, only I had far worse gear at the time. You mark and park and use the CC available to you(trap, sap, poly, etc) to get them split and you can pretty much walk the zone.
East is easy sauce.
West takes actually remembering where everything is and what not.
North will punish you, if you don’t mark and park and pull proper.
Bum rushing aint gonna happen for a while, here, and it was built that way.

who would even think that they could have changed anything in dire maul from its introduction in patch 1.3 to all the way to patch 1.12/3, which is the classic client based on?

You always go with where the tuning ends up, not where it starts. What is the point of adding bugs and untuned events back into the game? There are some things you don’t want to recreate.
So is Dire Maul too hard or too easy? I can’t figure out what the actual complaint is today.

Anyone who expected them to release a version of DM prior to patch 1.12 is an idiot. 10 minutes of research would show that that is post-nerf.

I only noticed that blizz placed level 58 mobs where you would normally be able to skip if differently placed, but since they modified positioning you do a lot more clearing. It’s whatever to me, because its gold, but its not any different than in my experience

DM is an Aoe fest except for DMW. All cake. Take a druid with alot of armor and stam. Easy peasy
