i’ve been playing sanlayn and SR is just not worth the rune and gcd, everything needs to go into vamp strike or DS while saving enough for rune tap
i may have to give this a try, i initially thought i would like the DRW change, but i don’t, it puts that CD window in conflict, you want to do a RP dump with DS but instead have to hit vamp strike and only vamp strike for the duration.

Pain points with san for me:
Competent players will cc you during your burst window and shut you down
Blood beast rng is painful
Consuming blood boil can make the uptime awkward in some situations
Less buttons (I am an enhance main, so I love buttons)
i swear people have got to be scripting, because even when the san burst window was tied to vampiric blood, people would insta shut you down when you hit it, and its not like vampiric blood or DRW are loud and bright CDs, they have to be noticed.
Deathbringer seems considerably worse than San’layn for output and kill pressure.
Frenzied Bloodthirst is the only thing making Blood okay right now.
but aside from this, the hardest part of playing blood right now is the game lag, between lag spikes causing buff stacks to fall off causing a long refresh process, but being a pure melee you can be trying to hit someone while chasing them and it looks like you are in range and can’t DS because you aren’t.
BigDebuffs addon makes it super easy to see when they’re popped, but I’m sure some people cheat
It’s encouraged to do goes after being put on DR or with a means or disrupting/avoiding being peeled.

i know that, im not saying there is anything wrong with being shut down, pvp is pvp, its the speed at which its done that raises an eyebrow. i’m faster than most and know how to flow state so i can have just action times instead of reaction times, but sometimes it feels like i cc’d myself with how fast some of the reactions are, its not someone in a flow state with their finger on the button waiting for you fast, its a script making it the very next line in the combat log fast, and that’s suspicious.
I can assure you there’s zero chance you’re played into anybody who is intentionally shutting down your rune weapon goes. Like, actually zero.
You know how every Ret Paladin walks up to people spamming hoj like a bot? That’s just how most people are operating.

Blood or Unholy even frost for battlegrounds is fine. All are terrible for arena.

A win is a win. Completely removing a healer from play, depending on team comp, may completely cripple the other team. You do what you gotta do.

Can certainly agree with that. Being able to sideline them for a while is fine, but having the capacity to make them spend the entire match in DK hell is pretty excessive. On the other hand, some healers are so obnoxiously overtuned at this point that it can at times be the only way you’re going to eke out a win.
I honestly thought that healer ‘stealing’ was really a common thing to expect from a DK in PVP, like the ‘quirk’ of the class, since the damage doesn’t seem to be very good right now.
