DK Red Eyes Option

Quit with the conspiracy theories. They have been adding customization, yet you think they aren’t giving it to DK because they are lazy? Talk about delusional right after an expansion where they doubled down on the DKs have blue eyes thing.

And no, there is lore and an explanation for customization. Like Blood Elf gold eyes for example. They didn’t just get an eye color change “just because”.

You must forget rule number 1 of story telling.

Rule #1 of RPGs. This is a game to enjoy. Do not let pedantic rules lawyers or hard systems disrupt your fun.

A lot of players would Enjoy some eye color options for their death knight, and the rest of us would not have our fun disrupted by that option being there. The only thing stopping blizzard from doing it is the manpower to write the code.

And lore comes into that enjoyment. Immersion into a world is important.

Because you can totally see your death knights eyes while playing the game right? So how does it actually further your enjoyment other than playing dress up?

Because you dont care about consistency in the writing. Others do, dont ruin their immersion.

And it not making sense. And again that is their words. They do customization when it makes sense.

Rule #1 is immersing people within that RPG otherwise they are disconnected and dont give a damn about it. Like you guys.

Whats the explanation of farraki skin tones. U glossed right over that.

There is no conspiracy. There is only reality and ur delusional idea that blizz is anything but a corperation thats on thr stock market.
Idk what to tell you you even made up a rule to argue with thr vulpera when everyone knows the “rules” of making fun rpgs. You just lost brah.

You mean… sand trolls? Those are already explained and have been explained for a long long time.

Yes, there is.

And that reality is that customization has to make sense.

They are literally making up the rules, but an RPG centers around the story through giving your characters motivations, the story and setting, and none of the rules / tips is “customization is the most important”. God of War is an RPG but you have 0 say in the main features of Kratos. The role you are playing is Kratos. So in WoW if you want to play a Death Knight then you are playing what we have and the rules that surround it. There is absolutely nothing that even suggests that DK eye color can change with spec.

Lost what? You dont even know the rules of making fun RPG’s. Its gameplay and story driven. That is what an RPG is. its not a customization simulator.

Sand trolls arent part of the horde so explain that. And why isnt true green colors available when theres amani tribes that are still part of the horde like the raventusks?

They could easily give a lore reason why dks have mulitppe eye colors nothing was set in stone in shadowlands they just still had blue eyes.

Sand trolls is your “gotcha”? Also, some of the sand trolls aligned themselves with Zuldazar not following Jakra’zet and mourns the death of Rastakhan. Did some of these trolls possibly do stuff with the horde or even join them? Its entirely possible.

Raventusks arent part of the horde, they made a pact with the horde. They are also limited to the Hinterlands fighting the other tribes there and the Dwarves. They are all pretty preoccupied so far.

This is false, them having blue eyes was set in stone. Ion even said “now do the blue eyes make sense” when there was the opening cinematic for SL at Blizzcon. It doesnt make sense within the context of the cinematic, but its domination magic. That is what makes us Death Knights now according to SL. Its not just necromancy which it was before.

Even then there were differences in eye glow within the scourge. Why didnt the dark rangers have the DK eye glow? Why didnt the DK’s have red or yellow? Why didnt ghouls have blue like the DK? Abominations? Gargoyles? Blood Princes? BQL? Its almost like there are rules in place even if they arent or werent fully explained.

Night elf death knights can use the Night Warrior eyes in game. Eventually Blizzard will lift restrictions and allow elf DK’s to use the darkfallen eyes too. And eventually, further, all DK’s of all races will get more customizations. I have no doubt.

I love looking through these comments since putting them on ignore and just seeing “hidden reply” littered through this topic and knowing who it is and what they’re saying without reading it lol. One very delusional DK roleplayer who thinks the lore means anything at this point.

All the retcons over the years in game, in their books like Chronicles, and travesties and lore ruining expansions like BfA and Shadowlands but DK eye colors makes them lose their little childlike mind.

And just like the sand trolls all of this is just hersay.

If it wasnt explained its not concrete. There is no hidden rule. They could just as easily made it that way cause its easy to copy and past eye colors.

Your creating ur own concrete rules in a game thats notorius for change. Ur doing a ton of assuming for what YOU want the lore and game to be.

Ignorance be bliss so. Anything can change and having dks have different eye colors in the future for the sake of more custimization allows players to express themselves more which is overall a better experience for them. More custimization more class/race custimization. Thats just it.

U holding on to weird lore isnt my problem. The game will change and new things will be added includijg custimization if u dont like it stick to classic.

So we’ve got red, green and black eyes (that would look incredible btw). I honestly think we should brainstorm even more colors.

Obviously if they move to include more light based undead ala Calia Menethil we’ll need DK eyes beaming forth with the warm glow of the Holy Light. I think we definitely need that and that it would fit very well.

Its not hearsay, its taking the available evidence for what it is.

Wrong.

How do you know? The evidence at hand actually points to this conclusion.

No they couldnt.

No im not, the game is.

That would be you guys actually.

You guys can attest to that since you are ignorant to the evidence around you.

Wrong again.

You are not your character. The character has to fit within the universe and DK’s that are 3rd and 4th gen do not have color changing eyes. You want to express yourself then create your own story, you are not the author of this one to dictate nonsensical changes.

It actually is.

How about you go play another game if you dont like this one. Hell you arent even a DK.

I do have a dk thia guys is just a forum poster since i like the name i got and the mog.

It looks like u have a notorius reputation here and have had a few people put u on ignore.

That only reaffirms my belief that you are indeed part of a minority that doesnt share the same gameplay and custimization ideals that most players have.

The majority wins as always. I wish i could ping this post for when dks get new custimization which will inevitability happen in the northrend expansion.

Im going to enioy my dk in tww since we got that added mobility of the riders hero talent. Thanks for chatting with me keeps the workflow less boring during these downtime periods.

Suuuure.

I dont care if some forum trolls put me on ignore. They talk more about me than the game… who cares?

It doesnt affirm anything. Its not evidence of what you think it is.

You do know that the people in these forums, including you, dont have the same customization ideals that Blizzard has, and they are the ones creating the game. If they say it has to make sense then it has to make sense. You saying that they just have to put in a line saying it can happen (even though it has never happened) is just you being desperate.

No they dont.

We already had the Northrend expansion. And its called a bookmark. But if they do, lets see if they just allow it or if they actually make it make sense. You guys clearly cant make it make sense within the story.

Thats the only reason? Thats a pretty shallow reason if you ask me.

Im an altholic brah i got every class and some multiples. I got two dks now as i used blood as bronze farmer in remix.

And ya blizz can def make a good enough llre change thats their job. They sometimes do a good job having lore reasons and sometimes its bad. But acting like just cause its been hinted one way means they will never go back and change it is silly. Blizz didnt want void elfs to have normal skin tones and hair colors but they folded with that because it was heavilt requested.

And the others arent trolls. Ive seen their posts and they seem productive in the forums and post some cool ideas and suggestions. What is everyone that disagrees with you a troll now? Lol you can call me a troll tho thats the only race i play zanda and darkspears all day.

Honestly ur not a troll i just kinda view you as someone stuck in stubborness. As the famous line goes “times change” and with it new custimization and new lore.

My reasons for not maining dk arent shallow. I love the necromancer vibes and with frost i can rp as a drakkari. I just didnt like the low mobility and since thats getting fixed dk is going to be in my 4 warband roster. Hell maybe i even main it. Youll see more of me in the dk forums then lol

I dont care brah. All that really means is that you care about leveling.

Can they? I dont actually think they can. Not only do they have to explain why they can, but they also have to explain why they havent been able to for well over a decade.

They doubled down on DK’s having blue eyes and explained it further.

Alleria had normal skin. She is a void elf just created a different way. They shown that you dont have to have tentacles and purple skin to be a void elf.

Yeah, they quite literally are.

And mine have been productive too. Its just people like you have never experience opposition to your views and then flip your lid. Your ideas are bad. Not sorry. Their ideas were bad too. Again not sorry. Thats not trolling, thats calling a bad idea a bad idea.

Ask those people because they constantly call me a troll. Im not calling them a troll because they disagree with me, im calling them a troll because they talk about me instead of anything with substance.

If people had evidence to show that DK eye color can change with spec by all means show it. But no one ever has, and saying “stick rocks in your eyes” doesnt cut it and doesnt explain what people actually want which is a switch in eye color based on spec. They want blood to have red eyes, unholy to have green?, and frost to be blue which would be a different blue compared to what we have now. Blood magic doesnt turn undead eyes red or else all the dark rangers would be blood based instead of shadow based. Lady Alistra would be blood based and not unholy based.

They are since you are saying you are going to play your DK because of a single hero spec talent. Thats shallow, there is no depth to it and really overall no real interest in it. Why arent you playing it now? I mean Rider is just spec gameplay that can summon horsemen sometimes and they get lost in the clutter.

Its really not that low. Its average at worse and a little above average at best.

I hate leveling its the worst part of being an altolholic i enjoy collecting mogs and mounts which is easier when i have a ton of characters to do it. Plus i love pvping and i jump between my favs for whatever im in the mood for.

Yes because very rarely does blizz if at all explain why a custimization option wasnt available from the start. Why wasnt dk hair colors added to the base race from the start. Why where void elfs all purple from the start and then go normal skin tones when alleria had a normal skin tone, why wherent warlock pet custimization not avaible in legion but now in df of all places we can? All custimization options dont have a reason they wherent aviable before except for the night elf eyes and red skin draeni which had a quest.

Im pretty calm rn tbh. Arguing is a good way to past time on a slow work day so in turn i should thank you.

U say they shouldnt add new dk eyes custimization cause it was double down on in shadowlands and theres no real lore reasons currently to make it possible.

My arguement is they can change lore and add a reason for it to be possible either through a specific questchain or just adding it straight up (i know u would really hate this option)

If in tww the last titan they have a story that focuses on dks and through some questing and new lore added in new eye colors would u still be upset. And lets just say for the sake of arguement they make it really cool and interesting with a ton of lore and it being a new thing and not a “they always could do this” type thing. Or would u just be upset they retconned what u thought was solid and changed it.

Also cmon man dks are slow. Comparing every races mobility warriors leap, monks rolls, Paladin charger, dh dash, mage blink, warlock burning rush, rogues sprint snd outlaws hook, hunters sprint and passive speed boost, druids sprints and evokers dash that dk would be somewhere in the middle?

Dk snd priest are the slowest classes in the game. In what world is dk in the middle of the pack or above?

Because DK’s have blue eyes. Its within the lore, they doubled down on it and explained it futher.

If it doesnt make sense absolutely.

Again if it doesnt make any sense then it amounts to “they can just because”. It has to fit. No idea has fit. Not a single one so far from anyone that has ever suggested the change in eye color has ever made sense. Lore should be built upon this is the exact reason why people are hating The Acolyte and The Rings of Power. They change characters (rings of power doesnt have the rights to anything substantial so its not even canon) and The Acolyte was just a complete and utter mess along with lore breaking. Of course these are set prior to The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, the story still exists from Tolkien and its being butchered.

They actually arent.

One leap doesnt even compare to what we have.

They are meant to be agile.

Our movement is better.

Again meant to be agile.

I can easily keep up with mages.

I can keep up with them as well.

Again mean to be agile.

Again our movement abilities make us average to a little better than average. Priest arent even slow they have stuff in their kit for movement as well.

World of Warcrafts world. If you are behind everyone you are doing something wrong.
