Can we please be done with wotlk beta and play the real game. This has been reported countless times on beta yet DKs in arenas have their gargs pumping out 0.7sec casts. Seriously blizzard how are private servers offering a better blizz like experience. Stop being useless and fix your game. This is getting old.
The reason private servers work better is there not trying to run wrath on a later game engine.
This causes quite a number of issues which the reason, it is used as a more “secure” client that is “less” prone to bots and hacking.
As we all know we have exactly 0 bots it’s working perfectly and we’ll worth the comparability issues.
Oh wait.
The other factor was the older game engine wouldent of interacted with the Bnet servers as they have been updated over time so it was “needed” for stuff like real if and what not.
It’s just crazy this was the most talked about bug on beta, for months yet here it is.
Yea instead of just reactivating an old Wrath server they decided it would be cool to port Wrath to retails client… This has introduced thousands of bugs.

Whats the bug exactly and how do they get faster haste for it?
The gargoyle scales with all physical haste benefits at the same rate as the player. Are you sure you’re seeing a haste bug or just a DK who’s geared?
I mean these dks must be rocking 90% haste in pvp gear some how if that’s the case?
The bug on beta was some sigil gave the Dk 187% haste permanently.
This is actually still occuring in PVE as well and at this point it has to be a bug. It seems the Garg is scaling off of Icy Talons + Imp Icy Talons + Haste Pot + Hero to get ~85% haste, but outside cooldowns/potions it’s getting a natural 45% before any gear, knocking it already down below 1 sec.
Did Headless Horseman today and the DK managed to have the Garg deal over 100k damage on the HH horseman itself, in one life. We laughed a bit and said it’s broken and then it made me wonder… is it broken?
He was casting it with Heroism up and it’s casts were around 0.8 sec and it was like a little machine gun. Funny to watch, but… is this working as intended? It does more damage than Fire Elemental does in 2 minutes, but in only 30 seconds.

This is not a bug, gargoyle is working as intended outside of the occasional pathing issue where he will start meleeing mobs. Gargoyle is a gaurdian and as such, all guardians can be snapshotted to receive the haste and ap benefits of the summoner WITHOUT a cap. This is part of the power curve of the gargoyle as without it, it barely functions as a wet noodle. Other functional snapshots can be seen in the feral wolves for enhance.

Gargoyal should not be scaling off any innate haste effects such as icy talons. It should scale off gear and buffs, that’s it. It’s currently gaining haste from those talents when it shouldn’t. In fact those talents should only be giving you raw melee attack speed haste, not the blanket 25% haste rating it does but what do I know
Stacking haste for garg was never a thing either in OG wrath or any pserver until wotlk classic.
The whole class is carried by the garg tbh. If youre an Unholy DK youre basically your gargoyles pet.

Was snapshotting gargoyals true to Wrath? If so it should be let in, if not it should not. This wasn’t the first time an “unintended feature” was discovered by the players after the game originally ran.
I do agree its cancerous for pvp for these gargs to snapshot all these effects, but otherwise death knights aren’t nearly as onerous as I thought they’d be.
I wish I knew for sure to answer if it was, but it sure wasn’t as well known if it did work like that. Given that balance was all over the place during Wrath, with full ArPen Diseaseless Blood being out of control at the release, it’s possible it’s functioning differently in a later patch than it did on release?
It’s not hard to stack haste buffs & trinkets & procs to get over 100% haste since % buffs scale multiplicatively. Gargoyle’s cast time is 2s, anything over 100% haste will drop that below 1s.
You’re basically calling the haste stat a bug.
Garg has always scaled off 100% haste effects of the player right at cast and .4 melee attack power.
