Divine storm (paladin)

iirc divine storm was added not long before wotlk (just like level 30 mounts) am i to expect this will also be in tbc for paladins?

also why on earth are people getting their mounts at 30 when for the majority of tbc it was still 40?
tbc came out in january 2007 and wrath came out in nov 08. level 30 mounts were added months before wotlk came out so the majority of tbc life level 30 mounts weren’t even a thing. this makes no sense at all.
level 30 mounts were only around for like 4 months before wrath lmao

Divine storm was added with WOTLK.

It was the 51 point talent in the ret tree when it was released.

They are getting mounts at 30 because we are in the last patch of TBC which is 2.4.3

No, DS was the WotLK 51-pt ret talent. You will not get access to this skill until prepatch for Wrath.

ah, couldn’t remember if it was part of the wotlk pre patch. was so long ago!

so even though it was level 40 for like 90% of its lifespan they’re going to allow it? heh…

Yea because it does happen in Tbc.

Since we are going to last patch it makes sense.

Also getting leveling changes and that didn’t happen until 2.3 I think.

wouldn’t it make more sense to start with the first patch and go from there?

No, because there are a lot of significant class changes from the first patch that were very imba among other things.

Namely feral druids were very OP in the first couple patches (early on, tbc Feral had a prot warrior’s tankiness with the damage of dps warriors… in bear form)… there was no reason to use a protadin or a prot warr over a bear early on; they just had everything.

Inversely, warriors were complete garbage because of the rage normalization being completely off the mark at the time.

Resilience didn’t affect DoTs and a couple other things originally that were added later on.

I also recall a few dungeons were overtuned at the time.

Those are some of the things I recall right away that were significant.

It makes more sense to use the latest TBC patch because it’s arguably the most ‘complete’ version of TBC.

A better question is why they didn’t do the proper training/mount costs in classic. At least this time around they are not repeating the mistake.
