I’m not sure if this is due to the new stat boosts or what, but the value of secondary stats seems to have gone way up. And now I’m seeing people playing in gear that looks increasingly like PvE gear… and owning. It’s basically like they are going into arena with permanent bloodlust. They take 10% more damage b/c they are giving up verse, but who cares if they do ridiculous damage?
For example, right now Shadow Priests are experiencing a weird Mastery build meta where people are willing to trade more and more verse for it beyond the 30% haste mark, and I just fought an affy in 2s that was able to do a sick oneshot because he was able to get over 100% in 2 secondary stats during his burst… with 0% verse.
Stat diversity may seem cool at first, but not if it makes the game feel like you’re fighting someone 10-15 ilvls higher than you just b/c they have optimized for the new stat meta.
Anyway, I thought I’d mention this before AWC turns into a strange secondary stat min-maxing oneshot competition where people try to protect the DPS that has low verse.
PvP gear is still bis, some people get 30% vers then start crafting gear with other stats. I don’t think it’s getting out of hand.

press a defensive, forehead
PVP gear is still bis and you can craft literally whatever stats you want atm.
I wonder if mythic maxed weps with effects are bis in arena
Using stats other than vers doesn’t make it a pve thing. You’ve been able to do that since TWW launched
some specs deffo, believe fury warriors in the awc were using the gallywix weps
People still complaining about pve gear in pvp lol lmao come to cata where a rogue can kill you with 1 ambush with a heroic bonelink proc right out of the gate with full resi
Some of them are, yeah. Gally wep is gonna be best for unholy, warrior, etc.

Weren’t most players wearing PvE gear with +avoidance on it in the last AWC?
Tertiary stats only work from enchants and talents. Ones from gear don’t work in PvP

Most of it was crafted gear on classes that wouldnt really be trained (bar rogue where verse is really good) and the unique effect weapons that did less then 1% damage overall. PvP gear is almost always better for pretty much every class.
