Dislike Button

The Diablo 3 forum still has a dislike button. Why not WoW?

Because Blizzard stopped caring about the Diablo 3 forum a long time ago; therefore, they didn't even care to remove their dislike button.

Are we though?

I mean, WoW players vs Diablo players.. ? Which is really the worse?

I don't know, actually.. but I find the question interesting.

Because the WoW community is far too toxic to use it responsibly.

You can only speak for yourself.

Seems the dumber you are, the more hurt your feelings get, so no more thumbs down option for WoW forums....
Forums are toxic
Forums are an echo chamber
any opinion that does not match the current forum opinion is often downvoted into oblivion

just 3 reasons why

Except I am speaking the truth, why do you think we were the only forum (before the new overwatch style forums) to have it removed while everyone else got to keep it?

Like it or not, it's fact.

Because the WoW forum users would use it as a Disagree button instead of a Bad Post button like it was intended to be.

Exactly!

People want proof of that? Then look at the last reddit AMA with Ion.

The WoW community abused it.

If they removed the option of posting as characters, and forced people to use battletags or something that could be followed, most of the toxicity would disappear because people wouldn't have their shields of anonymity to hide behind.

That was the exact problem.

That person gets it!

Like a person could write a well thought out post, for or against, about LFR. The post could be perfect, in every way (no, I'm not talking about posts of mine because I am THE WORST!) but people would dislike it A LOT who disagreed. Someone would say, "Well, I DO(or DON'T) like LFR, so I must dislike every post in this thread of a different opinion!"

So it ended up not being used in the way it was intended. The intended use was for goobers who come to the forums and post "ASMAHGHOULD!", something or other.

LoL is way worse. GTA online, rocket league, and FFXIV are all up there with WoW. i've heard cs:go is the worst but i've never played.

As a LoL veteran, the WoW community isn't even in the same universe in terms of toxicity.

WoW toxicity is very, very mild. Overwatch and LoL are 1000000000x worse
It's easy to dismiss an opposing opinion by just labeling it as toxic and move on without having to engage in a conversation as to why you think the opposing opinion is wrong.
i like how people are goin "LOL AND OVERWATCH ARE WORSE" as if that some how justifies the need for a dislike button

Were you here when they came around with Real ID? I don't think Blizzard would touch forum identity with a ten-foot pole ever again.
People know how to use it on the diablo forum, believe it or not. WoW forum dislike was just like reddit, a disaster where people have no idea what it's for. It's not used for agreeing/disagreeing with someone.
Don't worry after Blizzcon ends diablo won't have a downvote button anymore.
