Absolutely disgusting customer support response time frame. You’d think for a large company like blizzard you’d expect to wait 24-48 hours for a response on a open ticket. In reality it’s 14-22 days to even have your ticket looked at.
The current response time is abnormally long for them and eventually it will get back to normal.
Last I saw tho tickets were getting answered around the 8 day mark. The longer time people are seeing is based on an average that’s being inflated by some tickets that have to be worked on separately.
Is this about a new issue or the same one you had earlier?

When a server is locked, a license that doesn’t have an existing ACTIVE character won’t be able to undelete until it is unlocked. That’s a hard-coded restriction, even our GMs can’t circumvent it.
Okay, only THIS post has NOTHING to do with his character getting restore and EVERYTHING to do with the customer response WAIT TIME.

The other option is for me to apply a sanction for reopening a closed topic. This isn’t even your license. While I appreciate you are trying to help a friend, you aren’t. Only the involved player has standing to pursue this.

Support response times fluctuate. It is the nature of the beast of an active user base, new issues, and an ability to submit almost unlimited number of tickets. Blizzard doesn’t want this wait time either and they’ve been very forthcoming about that and the current wait times.
Blizzard already know about the wait time, they don’t need a post about it. More so when said post is just yelling about how long it is, which is 7 to 8 days, not 14 to 22 days as you said.
More importantly, Blizzard is well aware of the ticket times and has been very open about how terrible it is.
If the OP is ticketing about the same issue, they might as well close it. There is nothing Support can do about it so they don’t need to wait in the queue.

No. Its a post about complaining. Be more honest when you are posting. There is an unusually large amount of tickets right now and they’re doing what they can to address them as fast as possible. It isn’t bad support to be swamped unexpectedly, its the nature of any business. I’ve worked support a lot in my life and this happens periodically in any support environment.
Yes, this has been an ongoing thing with this account (or two). They just want attention, and quite frankly, they’re going to get it. Just not the kind of attention they want.
Regardless of blizzard addressing the wait time or not. At best this is in the wrong forum, still doesn’t justify you coming in here and attacking his (and my) post history.

Except they have. The Blues in this very forum have said it many times.
As for what they’re implementing? What would you suggest they implement for a sudden influx? Hire 200 more people who will likely be trained and ready to help long after this influx is done? Start deleting random tickets to cut down the wait times?
If you deem Blizzard’s CS to be unacceptable, stop giving them your money. No one here is going to provide you a solution to your problem unless you’re just here for sympathy.

Response times for more general issues are around 11-15 days, where higher priority account and technical issues should be sitting around 3-4 days or so.
With two product launches and a number of other issues over the last several weeks we’ve been receiving an extremely high volume of contacts that simply hasn’t let up. While we may be a big company we cannot automatically scale to meet these temporary volume increases. We are working to get to everyone as quickly as we can.
I think we all understand that you are frustrated, we are as well. I’m afraid there is likely little that can be done, even if response times allowed us to get to your ticket immediately. As mentioned, if the realm is locked, character undelete is blocked unless you already have a character on that realm. This is unfortunately not something that CS is generally able to circumvent, our tools don’t allow the it either.
I think we’ve been extremely transparent about wait times. We’ve responded to folks on here and other social channels like Twitter. What we are doing, is working to get to everyone as quickly as we can and otherwise working to resolve issues that may be driving those contacts (i.e. issues with Overwatch).
