Hello. Is there another source for green gear other than questing? I need the disenchanted mats but they’re getting pretty rare now that I’m halfway through sojourner, and recipes demand like 50 or 75 of the things. Am I in trouble?
You can farm mobs for boe greens but that’s all RNG and they don’t seem to be dropping nearly as quickly as last expansion
So I’ll get one or two storm dust a day. Got it.

You can join the bee farm groups, I took my pally and got more than 30 greens and some nice warbound blues in 3 hours of farming for the pollen. Don’t join skinner groups, the run takes longer (unless you take a skinner alt).

They need to make it so disenchanting higher rarity items also gives lower rarity materials.
It’s insane that the rarest material for enchanters is from green items.

Is it just dust you need? If so, disenchanting without skill points seems to be a lousy way to get dust.
Greens have been giving me 1 dust per green item on average, but greens sell for 200-500g on AH whereas dust sells for like 100g each so unless I’m missing something it’s better to sell gear and buy dust, no?

That’s a good observation and true, but I noticed that people don’t buy low level gear on the AH. they go through other means to gear up.

You can do PvP and spend honor on PvP gear, just to disenchant it. Not the best method. However, the best approach would be taking every available route.
yeah like it seems to me it made for stockholders.

Two… Make a Crafter alt. Let him make greens and send all of them to your Enchanter
All the crafted gear is blue! They give much less needed materials.
In previous expansions you could “shatter” higher quality enchanting materials into lower ones.
No idea why they stopped that. It was really useful if you did a lot of raiding and had way too many crystals and needed dust.
i dont struggle to get greens cause i picked up tailoring. which, ironically, has a high need for the mats from disenchanting greens. and dont even come at me with THEY’RE ALL BLUE! because the first 3 pieces tailors learn are greens.
Unless you’re WoW rich you’re nearly forced at this point into tailoring if you’re an enchanter. It’s the only crafting profession that is also a gathering profession. So you can gather, craft, disenchant, and enchant. The crappy loot rules make it impossible to utilize enchanting based on drops. You’ll never find enough quests to make the profession useful.
No it’s not. The cheapest most effective recipes are all green
