Discs actually solid now

I haven’t played arenas yet since 8.2, but I’ve seen a lot of streams and discs actually seem kinda decent now, atleast in some comps.

Definitely good until you fight double melee

Probably will be super underplayed in tourney for this reason (even moreso)

Yeah im playing 2s with a disc and he just gets railed by dks. Maybe in RMP its okay since u have peels.

I still don’t see how u top ppl tho as disc.

Yeah Dks are even harder now because of lucid dreams essence. So easy to stack fat necros on a disc and then you never recover. Essences are just insane for Dk honestly.

Prolly will just depend on what you’re fighting - Lucid Dreams just as a passive will be insane anyways though. So if you’d lose damage by giving up abomb for useful honor talents you’d take conflict and strife but if you were gunna just go full mongo necrotic strike/abomb/something else like necromancers bargain - then you could just easily stay lucid dreams.

But lucid dreams just as a minor will be insane. UhDK is just gunna be godly

How do you actually move peoples health bars as disc? Throughput is my biggest issue, partners dying to damage with me not in CC etc. Is it because I don’t have triple shadow mend traits?

You don’t, you just stay even with trinity healing/shielding/having partners avoid damage

You have no recovery as a disc hence why you just lose instantly to DKs (on top of you having no mobility ofc either).

Do you have a guide on how to play DK? I was messing around with DK for $hitz and giggles and have no idea how this spec works.

I see everyone say its brain dead but even leveling its kinda weird. Do i use scourge strike in pve but NOT PVP?

Scourge Strike in PvE yeah because you don’t have necrotic strike but in PvP the only time you’d ever use scourge strike in pvp is to kill totems (and no death coil procs to kill it).

Necrotic strike is your top priority in PvP

I don’t really have a guide or anything like that, dnno I could maybe write a few basic things but I’m by no means really great at DK

Well I plan on playing S3 for actual rating. I haven’t actually ever really arena’d in a serious manner. I have been a on and off casual until lately. I have been watching streams which I never do and really have no idea whos good to watch?

I set up all my @arena 1 2 3 for fast cc and kicks and im still getting use to that. The plan is to play classic but I am sure a lot of us will still arena until they announce TBC.

I would appreciate any tips

From the arenas ive been doing, Disc priests Shadow Mend are averaging higher than both Healing Wave and Healing Surge.

At least Maledict got nerfed. Disc was completely useless last season vs certain melee comps such as ww/dk and dk/dh that would just rotate maledicts until you die.

disc is one of the best healers at dealing with maledict with rapture & double dispel. as for ww/dk and dk/dh, they don’t even need maledicts vs disc honestly lol

who needs maledict when both ur melee dps can grip or ring their best defensive cooldown 2 seconds after its popped 4head
