Discord quest not working?

The wow discord quest thing says to get game… but the connection is active between my discord acc and bnet acc yet still says it despite me seeing it on both :s any ideas?

I’m pretty sure that you have to stream it or something for discord quests. My discord quest is on Fortnite…which ew, but yeah. If you stream it, it should work. If not, no idea.

I have been streaming it for the past hour yet still says get game and no quest progress :frowning:

Just to ask: Was you streaming in a PM group, or on a server? From what I remember, it has to be on a server itself.

This is something that you’ll have to get in touch with Discord about as Blizzard can’t help with problems with Discord Quest.

Also, as Zenjy has mentioned, need to stream from a discord server, not a private message group.

The stream must also be done via the desktop app of Discord and not the browser version.

As others have mentioned, it will need to be streamed through a server. You can create a server and invite the person watching to your server.

^ Edited to reflect corrected info.

Directions for the promo:

  1. In the desktop app, go to quests and accept the quest. You’ll find that at the bottom of the server list, it’s a button for “discover.” Click on that and then click on “quests.”
  2. In a Discord server (or DM group), make sure someone else is in the voice channel with you.
  3. While you have WoW running, hit the stream button at the bottom of Discord where you see the otpions and begin to stream in the server with another person present.

WoWhead and Discord both state this is not required.

Streaming your play in any server, group chat, or even direct message to your own alt account is enough to qualify […]

  1. Then, head to your Discord desktop app and navigate to a direct message (DM), group chat, or a server of your choice.

My only question for OP is if someone else has been present watching the stream for that time.

Then I stand corrected. I will edit my post. Thank you.

Ok, thanks for that. I’ll retract that statement.

EDIT: And sorry for bringing it off topic, but wish it wasn’t a US only promotion :sob:

Confirming this is not necessary in a server voice channel. Just needs to be someone else present in the channel at the time.

I do not know if booting the game from the launcher or the .exe has any bearing, but this test run started with the .exe.

Agreed, though. But I hear rumblings that the code is region-agnostic! Maybe someone in the US that doesn’t want it wouldn’t mind handing it over.

Edited directions, because I forgot about the DM ability. I’ve done it that way before, too. lol

You can’t just stream to an empty server. Someone else has to be there. It worked in a DM for me, I just borrowed my roommate for 15 minutes. The other person doesn’t have to have it in the foreground or even be paying attention.

I agree with what has been said. I had to stream to another person, not just an empty channel. I also did not receive credit when using the browser version. If you have friends willing to give away the code, you can also give the code to your non-US friends.

Is anyone still able to get this to work? I tried looking for the quest in Discord and its not there (the promotion is supposed to end on 12/9/24 and I last checked 12/8/24).

Have you tried looking at the Quests list in Discord? For me it is showing all the current quests.

Hover over the current quest showing above your name in bottom right corner. Click on the ... and that will pop out the menu where you can then click on View More Quests.

Alternatively, you can also click the Discover button at end of your server list and then choose Quests.

Both ways will display all the current quests.

When this thread first got posted, I checked and had no quests in Discord. A few days later, this one and a bunch of others appeared. Sadly, I don’t know what made them appear, but at the very least, keep checking.

Thank you for the advice! Strangely enough, the Quest randomly appeared this morning. I’ll keep your feedback in mind for next time, Kyzera! I wonder if the “View More Quests” would have had this from the get-go!
