So every time i load into a competitive game in Overwatch2 i get disconnected from their servers, resulting in a penalization…. I’ve played World Of Warcraft without ever being kicked off the servers. Nothing has changed in where I’m setup at, still in the same spot i’m in while playing. Now I have a 2 day ban from comp….. thanks bizzard….
Leaver penalties are part of an automated system. The system doesn’t know why you disconnected or were unable to connect, only that you did. Customer Support does not have the ability to remove or adjust those.
It isn’t an instance penalty though, it usually takes several such disconnections until penalties are applied. If you are experiencing connection issues it is usually recommended that you stop attempting to go into competitive until the issue is resolved.
While the two games are Blizzard, they don’t work the same way, the connection route is different and the demand on a system is as well. If you wish to troubleshoot the issue I would I’d start here: https://us.support.blizzard.com/en/article/112208
