I have been disconnected about 5 times during a character swap in order to prepare heirlooms/bags for a new alt.
Each time I got disconnect the second the logged off a toon in order to swap.
The first 4 or so times, I would get “We couldn’t log you in with what you just entered. Please try again.” After a few attempts, it would finally work. (Using Bnet so I am not typing my password each time).
Now, I cannot even log back on through Bnet app or manually typing my password AND the authenticator. When I try typing in psw and auth I get through but automatically disconnected before the character screen.
What is happening? My internet is fine, watching twitch and doing other things as normal. I can connect to Bnet app perfectly fine. It’s only WoW.
Haha yup, I must have started to write my post just before theirs posted. It’s a shame, I did see a very small 42mb update randomly go out so that might have screwed something up. This is very frustrating and unfortunate.
Exact same thing happened here. I was alt hopping working on Hallow’s End and I kept getting disconnected until finally I started getting that same error message and cannot log in
It’s so frustrating man. I can log in perfectly FINE on my 2nd account that is not active at the moment. It’s a problem server side, our characters are stuck online and there is no way for us to force our own characters out of the game. I tweeted blizzard a link to the other post with more people having this problem, nothing yet.
Same issue here. Two wow licenses on my battle.net account are refusing to connect while the other licenses connect just fine. Was getting weird logoff issues just prior to the accounts getting borked (had to close the client window to log off). Been an hour or so and they still won’t log back on.
I am suspecting ddos as well. I really hope our personal account information is safe. They really should have the best security in place considering how much money they make off subs. Shouldn’t be a problem.
