What are my best 2s comps, and for 3s what comps counter dot comps? i seem to have a very tough time vs lock/boomy etc
also in 2s i oom very fast from dispels and damage, any tips?
Also i typically have a very tough time vs other healers, vs double dps i do ok, mostly cuz i oom very fast and hpala never run out of mana
in 3s, my team los’s me a lot and i don’t like pushing in cuz i don’t have much mobility in 3s, any advice? ty guys
in 2s vs healer comps, what’s the general strategy? if i’m playing with rogue/feral? generally i go dps and cc healer, but i think some comps we should go healer, especially vs other disc priests, so they can’t mana burn me.
If i had a decent rogue, i’m sure we’d be making a lot of swaps but
I think i’m overly hasty on offensive dispels in 3s, should probably wait for cc windows to do that in 3s, otehrwise focus on healing i guess
also any tips on handling other healing priests fear ward and druid predatory swiftness instant clone, i try to purge them but sometimes they get it off before i can purge
Disc rogue and disc fire mage and disc feral are good comps in 2s for disc.
RMP, Thug, Vanguards cleave and Jungle are also good.
As disc you generally won’t have an easy time against dot comps since you rely on cross CC and are put on a timer as soon as the game starts, against LSDv2 (lock boomy rsham) you generally want the shaman to be kill target with most of these disc priest comps listed above, boomy can die but depending on the map it will be hard.
If your team does target the shaman then you generally want to be using fear to help with cross CCing, having a stun on the shaman as you fear either the lock or boomy will cause trinkets to be used by either the shaman or whoever the fear target is, if you target a dps like the boomy then you should be fearing out of CC normally unless you can multi fear or if other targets are currently in CC, do not ever single fear a DPS if no pressure is going on and if you are not using it to stop an important cast and if other CC is not in play as any decent healer will instantly dispel this and you end up wasting fear.
Also for purging instant cast proc from feral you just need to have a good idea of when they will get a 5 point combo off and be ready to dispel, it takes time to get good at this but eventually it can become simple muscle memory, also making sure the feral is always clean of buffs will make this easier to do.
For 3’s when your team is LoSing you it kinda depends on position or circumstance you’re in but you generally wanna push up either to the pillar and play on top of all 3 of them for big fears if you’re on like Dalaran and won’t be sacrificing yourself or putting yourself in a bad position for swaps. Otherwise on maps like Nagrand try to push onto the specific pillar or one across. More than likely it will be the one across from them.
To add onto it and go into your 2v2 vs other healer/x you generally wanna try to set up as many mana burns as possible while stopping enemy healers from burning you or catching you and doing a go or off position if it’s not a burn comp. Vs other healers if you’re having mana issues i’d try to tell your partners to help you setup drinks. Top your druid and have him sit bear or use Predatorys on clones and Nature’s Grasp so you can get big drinks. If you’re playing with a rogue have him gouge>kidney or if he can get re-stealths cheap>kidney or cheap>gouge>kidney. Really just depends
As for the fear Ward and preditory swiftness. Yeah I mean just keep them clean.
Blizzard codes it any time you’re vsing a priest that your fear Ward is his first dispel but their fear ward is always your last dispel. My rock solid proof of this is that it was revealed to me in a dream and it always happens so must be true 100%. (Real answer it’s just rng and is BS)
Roll Vanguards Cleave and i promise you any problem you were having will go away. This is the comp this season. Ive tried thug, jungle, scooby, smokebomb, cupid, PriestHD, and RMP this season and had all the issues you mentioned. I finally caved like everyone else and ran Vanguards, and man oh man what a difference.
