Zero of the nerfs are big. There all slap on wrist nerfs. These devs tune things very weird.
All the specs that are currently performing due to how strong they currently will be exactly the same next week.
lmao it’s definitely super strong and noticeably ahead of every other healer but nowhere even CLOSE to hpal last season. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a healer as broken as hpal was last season
maybe before-any-adjustments hpal, but end-of-season hpal was busted but not nearly as busted as current disc imo
how is previous disc not stronger than previous hpal?

so I just did a 3s session with 26 games hanging around 2k-2.2k mmr (current peak mmr is roughly ~2450-2500). of those 26 games, 13 healers were disc, 4 were hpals, 4 were rshams, 3 were pres, and 2 were rdruid. I was hpriest ofc
there’s a pretty obvious gap there that highlights disc as the best healer, but if you compare that to hpal last season—which had more rank 1s than any other CLASS (not spec - CLASS) in the game—it’s just not even a little bit close, especially considering that disc is historically and consistently the most popular healer in the game, even when it sucks
should HAVE…ugh.
I don’t think we can make this conclusion yet because hpal had an entire season to be broken, we’d need disc to remain broken for the entire season to make the comparison here
I do agree that there is more healer diversity (despite the disco tyranny), e.g. we can actually see resto shamans outside of the theoretical world, but I think this is more a factor of them being buffed than disc being weaker than last season hpal

This kind of sounds like a skill issue, because as many people pointed out, disc still maintained a higher winrate % than hpal last season, despite hpals being very strong. To act like its something obvious thing that they were better because more representation, doesn’t really mean its true.
