So im mad at blizzard for launching early.
I had everything preped to be realm first 525 cooking. Logged in a few minutes early to be ready when the switch got flipped just to find out it was already live. So i rushed to cook. Have chefs hat and every recipe prepurchased all mars ready.
Took me about 1 minutes 30 seconds to go from 450 to 525 from logging in.
Alas no realm first because blizzard launched early for once…
i can sympathize with the effort. Sorry for your loss.
I don’t know who should be more embarrassed, the guy that raced to this and won, or the guy that raced to this and is upset for losing.
The problem is the guy who won started the race 10 minutes early because there was no announcement that the race had begun early
The organizers of the race are to blame.
Yeah I definitely spent a few minutes in town, reading everyone in chat saying ITS LIVE and still thinking they were trolling.
5:50 is the new 6pm.

I saw an announcement of realm first Cooking just over 5 minutes before “launch” time.
I was really surprised, since you shouldn’t even have been able to buy the skill to unlock the top tier yet.
And when I checked the blizz launcher, it confirmed still 3 minutes to go.
Not that I was going for realm first, I still don’t have 450. 
But it certainly look suss. 
That said, no doubt the person who did get it was just as prepared as you, and might have beat you in any case. So don’t sweat it.
imho the profession realm firsts are a load of hogwash. To each their own. 
the thing is that he couldnt have lost the achievement even if the guy was just as prepared. there is a 1min grace period. not just one person can get it but hundreds if they get it within 1minute of the first to get.
You had a minute to get it after they get the realm first to also get the realm first.
I logged in at 257… im going to open a ticket and ask if they will give it because if they launched at their announced time i would have it.
why’d they even do realm firsts again
haven’t they admitted before that they don’t like realm first achievements because they encourage degenerate behavior
