Disappointing how many alliance guilds xfer off pvp servers

Xfers are the bane of WoW servers.

Edit: Just a thought, Cuddy Kwoo. The guild who made this video from p2 of Vanilla Classic https://youtu.be/ctn-tKXx4Sw xferred here to Earthfury and they’re experiencing the death of a server all over again.

Sad but kinda amusing, wonder what their guild thinks and if they’re gonna xfer again.

I don’t mind them to a degree but they’re being abused now.

I have an Alliance character on Grobb and Alliance xfers are killing the server by making the population tilt further Ally, the community RP is even less now because the new people don’t respect it or the rules.

They think it’s their old pvp server so we should have to adapt to the newcomers because their old server sucked.

Wish you couldn’t transfer at all most days.

Who woulda thunk that adding HvH faction Bgs and not giving a real incentive to roll alliance on Lizzards side combined with the non-existent official server percentage numbers as well as no transfer stop to and from Servers (money money) would lead to the situation getting worse and worse.

Really a shame that nobody warned about this months before each service or “feature” was added to the game… oh wait.

Right? I mean, we could have been fine if nobody left in the first place. 40/60 is manageable…

I came to help, and suddenly everyone’s gone before I even got to level.

Yea, I have been on this server since it was partially Alliance dominant and the tables have turned fast. Sad to see.

I agree with you completely, it is disappointing.

I also think transfers to the really full server should have been turned off a long time ago.

Also if we are talking about Earthfury specifically the negativity in the chat caused a lot of it. A couple of guilds left. We still had a 3k ally pop, but the chat and atmosphere was a lot of doom and gloom. As well as people pretending that Benediction is some sort of perfect promised land. So everything snowballed.

It’s all just really too bad.

Earthfury is being cleansed

Yeah, I agree with your whole post.

I spoke up against HvH BGs with faction balance being the #1 reason, on repeat, so much that I pissed off a lot of horde on here… and those BGs did not help overall faction balance at all.

It’s not as if the battleground experience is better either now the BGs are full of quitters on both sides and I don’t hear a lot of people talking about how much they are having fun doing TBCC BGs on here. People, even those who wouldn’t stop talking about how much they wanted HvH BGs, now just talk about how happy they are to raid log and stuff.

ROFL what?

Nobody cares. It’s transfers ruining things not bgs.

With the dramatic drop in subs recently it is quite evident that everyone is just over it. Blizzard has been extremely incompetent in it’s handling the entirety of TBC classic.

It doesn’t give me high hopes for wrath classic at all. Way to many amateur decisions, way to many bugs left unfixed, and the population imbalance has gotten downright absurd.

It all started with the boosts, and ended with incompetence and apathy.

**** you Blizzard.

Yeah, alliance were mass xferring off PvP servers before HvH was a thing. Good try though.

Wow, maybe think 2 steps ahead before commenting? The biggest incentive Ally had going for it, was the queue times of horde. There was nothing else, cause in pvp as well as pve horde is better.

If horde has no queue, there is no reason to stick to alliance or if you make a fresh character roll alliance. The game is maximized to death these days, so people always pick horde, because its just the better choice.

It was completely clear that this would lead to Horde dominating every pvp server cause every pvper would roll a horde toon (prolly boost it too first and then just lvl it in a week). Ally just shrinks and it gets so bad they ofc transfer off.

This was explained and warned about weeks before they introduced their dumb “features” and low and behold, now its happening.

Enjoy your horde only pvp servers. Yall wanted this.

Everyone is transferring off deviate delight, most to Grobb but some to other servers. It’s a sad thing.

Yea thats true, and as I said, since Lizzard did not offer any incentives to keep servers balanced and made the problem worse (with HvH bgs) it just exacerbated the problem. I mean just look at ironforge.pro. Look at the numbers for pvp servers. Its hilarious how bad it has gotten.

We actually managed during Vanilla to close xfers to Grobb. Of course you had the “muh friends, family and guild” types saying they should be allowed to xfer etc. It was nice while it was locked. Full servers should be locked from xfers.

The big issue is, that they will never ever fix this. The transfer money is just too much income. And ofc the players are stupid enough to take advantage of it. As long as this is profitable for them, they will never get rid of it, and there is plenty of players who don’t mind spending 25 bucks looking for greener pastures.

So yea, this is the reality of it and don’t expect any changes either.

It’s funny that horde incessantly whined for HvH battlegrounds until they got them, then quit the game anyway.

Because those people were retail tourists and fotm players. Anyone who played Horde in OG TBC knew there would be wait times. There was wait times during Classic Vanilla so why would people think it would change when BE were added?

Blizzard listening to them was a mistake. It was a lot of whining about “muh pvp gear” now you can get it on vendors, surprised they’re not whining about rep for it.

You’re right. The 25% off sale (which caused A LOT of players/guilds on the fence to make the choice to transfer due to that sale - which is exactly the point of a sale) proved it.

What I know is I’ve done what I can do and I can’t do any more. Not that what I did in an attempt to help things means anything in the end, but I can say for sure I tried.
