Ita amazing you missing out
This is why I didnât buy early access. The sole reason would be âI WANNA PLAY NOWâ⊠aanddddd a mount or something? Pff. I just started playing again like a week ago and have over 30.
The expansion releases in less than a week. Come on guy.
So youâre just incredibly delusional then, $90 USD is far from âfreeâ
While I donât like paying exorbitantly for early access, I did purchase the Epic Edition as a gift to myself. But it wasnât for the early access or mounts and so on.
I usually skip on the collectorâs edition and just buy up the mount/mini pet pack when itâs released later. Spread it out a bit.
But I bought the epic edition for multiple reasons.
- it was that; a gift to myself to celebrate leaving a very toxic environment. TREAT YOSELFđ
- I bought it because Iâm excited to have Metzen back on the team. Take him or leave him how you will, he has always been my favorite story teller, and Iâm stoked for him.
- I bought it because Iâm very happy with the direction Blizzard is going and wanted to contribute my dollars to support THAT, specifically.
After I bought it though, there was some devastating feelings that âoh, my family doesnât have thisâŠuhâ
I donât like to play alone anymore and they are my primary group to play with.
They ended up getting it later, but if none of my family had it, I probably wouldnât have played early access to wait for them.
But yesâŠbuying solely for early access, with that price tag, is painful.
I use collectorâs editions as my way of saying (with my money) âhey Iâm happy with and excited for what youâre doing as a companyâ
That isnât to say anyoneâs opinion on the matter is invalid or silly, though. Iâm not here to argue or belittle. Just my input and perspective
Yeah, the $90 price tag is a bit much for some, which I do genuinely feel bad for, but thatâs just how things are. As much as I hate it, you are either financially stable in your life and have the spare money to throw around, or you just donât.
For those that do have disposable income (Like Myself) because I busted my butt early on in life, so I could relax and not deal with a pay check to pay check life, I was able to afford this EA perk for my whole family.
Hope everyone is having a blast.
Late access actually a good descriptor for the con job Blizzard pulled here 9 expansion and I think 2 previous epic editions none of this EA garbage. But now they start pulling it itâs clear greed has fully over taken Blizzard now
I am happy so far I wished more Action in the cinematic with Khadgar , Alleria and Xalâathath . Maybe the Dalaran scenario was too short ⊠and many important characters were missing .
I Like the New Zones and the Story .The Dwarves are really neat . Itâs First time for me since Legion , to do Every quest on the Map.
The early Access is a win for me .
No itâs exactly that itâs predatory but then you corporate defenders do all the work for free.
Because they have never locked them behind a paywall unlike this con job
people can blame blizzard all they want but the community decided to pay and play. not only that , people stayed all night to push for first level 80. So what now wait for a month doing nothing ? If you donât agree with it why pay for it ? or even watch streamers playing or have realm firsts ? People love to grind wow and speed run everything and forum posts will not put a stop to that
I think its a good move by blizzard to eleminate the launch day push⊠lets say only 15-20% of the people pay a little extra for some bonus package⊠it works out in server load⊠not to mention the oneâs most likely paying extra are working people⊠there is no harm in the way they allowed access as its not really a power gain⊠talk about first world peoblems!! Dont stress so much enjoy the game!
What advantage do the EA players get besides a few days earlier to get to say level 80?
Leveling was quick in Beta and if it is the same in live those that are starting with the global launch should hit 80 before next Friday (8-30-2024)
The first Raid /M+/PVP season doesnât start for 2 weeks after the global launch so there is no way of anyone getting ahead in those.
Just to note I donât have the epic edition or early access.
You played the pre patch
yep , DF didnt have early , u just had acess to evoker earlier if u preordered
See thatâs where you and A LOT of players differ.
Since digital top shelf packages have been a thing, I always buy the top tier one because I want the pet or mount or whatever special thing you can only get from having that top tier.
3 days extra really doesnât do much.
All the arguments about dividing the player base - its 3 days. Go hit up another game if you arenât happy.
I actually liked that the server stability was great.
I also feel those complaining donât work. If you donât work, and have limited money, sorry you couldnât afford the top tier. Life isnât fair.
T theyâre literally not creating any kind of divide if you paid for the more expensive expansion set you got the Early Access theyâre not forcing you to buy the Early Access and yes loyalty should be rewarded but itâs not being monetized because if you think about it those who paid for the Early Access because of the upgraded expansion got three extra days for extra days thatâs not a bad idea itâs not a bad thing and while I agree with some parts of your post other parts just sound like youâre whining I have been a loyal person with blizzard and world of Warcraft since day one and I would like to see them put a loyalty thing for those of us who have been playing for years but anything else they havenât really done anything wrong with that
I am thinking of the early access days as a soft launch so that the worst of the bugs can be address before the rest of us start playing. With this though and the memory of how expansion launches tends to be have no problem waiting a few extra days to play.
People are acting like the only thing they got out of the epic edition was 3 days of early access. You also got 4 pets (1 and then a quest for 3 more), a toy, a month of game time, beta access, and hearthstone effect. Forget the 3 days early access, you got plenty for that extra $20
Having a great time. I can always just not but if i dont feel like it, next timeâŠ
Youâve known about this for months. It costs $25 more when you factor in the free game time. If you canât save up an extra $25 within a number of many months then maybe a sub based game isnât the best idea for you.
The people acting like itâs a big deal are the same ones who made a big deal out of pretending like they didnât have smart phones a few years ago.
