Disabling XP Gains on 110+ Characters

lo único por lo que sigo jugando wow es porque me gusta tener twink y siento que en algún punto dejare de jugar esto porque desde la expansion de pandaria lo vienen arruinando

Obviously blizzard is introducing $60 level 120 boosts soon, and they want people to give them their :dollar: instead of playing with friends. Why else would they wait this long to fix something that was known since beta?

Activision strikes again! :poop:

Sí, la pandaria fue la última gran expansión.

I have never done this… and I honestly do not see why this is an issue you even have to address, it just seems like a waste of time handling something that is harming NO ONE.

I’ll agree here. The guys who made it successful have left, now lets make it ours and erase everything good they did that actually works. reminds me of current politics in the U.S… lets erase all progress made as were in charge now.

The main issue is that players feel that the level scaling is broken. You feel much, MUCH weaker with each level. A fresh 120 feels painful to play. With each level, it takes twice as long to kill a mob which you were previously 1-shotting at 110.

I’m curious, was this an issue back in legion since it also had level scaling, or was the level scaling a lot more forgiving back then? I don’t think I ever heard of Blizzard disabling level-locking at 100.

I sure don’t remember this being an issue at the start of Legion. The only character who felt substantially weaker at 110 than 100 was my druid, and that was because I stupidly leveled her via herbing from 104 on…her gear was basically six levels behind her. The characters who leveled through questing didn’t have an issue, or at least, nothing NEAR as noticeable as the steady power loss in BfA.

And I know a lot of people claim it’s the loss of legendaries causing it, but my Horde monk came into the expansion with one legendary and 210 gear from the pre-patch, and didn’t feel noticeably weaker when she hit Zandalar than my Alliance monk felt, despite my Ally having BiS legendaries and a higher ilvl.

^This.

And I’m just wondering why all of a sudden you care about how fast we level? You started this in Legion with 7.3.5, and the changes that you’ve made to the game - both in current and old content - are driving players away. Evidence? I’m gone as of the 31st. My last straw? The change that the previous devs had intentionally put into the game to allow high level players to help low level players do things like power level without decimating their xp was reversed and called a bug. It was not a bug!

Why are you restricting the way players play so much since Ion took over? The game was so much better when we had options, choices, and free will to play as we wished. The old devs didn’t care how quickly we leveled; they cared about whether we liked the game or not.

It’s harming boost sales!! And besides, how dare you play the way you like instead of how Blizzard “intended!”

I still have a few boosts leftover from the start of BfA and have no intentions of using them now or in the future. I’m actually still stumbling about in Legion trying to get the rep grinds done for my “Allied” races and I can see no point in adding more fuel to the fire at this point.

I do have several characters that are “twinked” for questing reasons and for the feel of the game at that level - haven’t really even started on BfA although I bought a few copies before it dropped - had I known what I know now - I wouldn’t have bothered. Still love the game, however, I am very disappointed in the direction it is taking at this time.

That’s all they do now, is punish all of us for the actions of the few.

So tired of this Dev team pigeon holing us into a narrow way to “enjoy” bfa.

Who pays whom?

This behavior is so insulting it even makes me want to quit, and I’ve always defended them.

Being insulted is not how the devs intend for you to feel, and they’ll be hotfixing out your ability to feel it in the next patch.

For what it is worth… I turn off XP so I don’t outlevel the previous expansion dungeon level (the group finder will not work for characters that are higher level than dungeon). I also did it so I wouldn’t gain xp while I was completing the PATHFINDER achievement and didn’t want to hit the new xpansion at 112 or higher.

It’s funny seeing all of the angry twinks… they’re probably upset that they wont be able to faceroll 120s unfairly anymore because of broken scaling and legion legendaries.:roll_eyes:

would that be the 120’s not in 1-80 ville facerolling leveling alts/noobs? Sword cuts both ways here…pvp is a mess where you get hotspots of imba for someone.

the dislike is coming from its a nice way to make BFA levelling not suck. Some rants on blah blah people charge for this. I am sure some friends/guilds do this for free. A twinking night as it were.

Which the leveling does suck. I am seeing a 4th run to 120. I am seeing me get weaker. I have lots of time to watch it. Its now a BM hunter. I can let my pet take a beating to go this isn’t me, Its BM hunter, aka huntard setup.

Real basic rotation that relies heavily on our pet. And pets were normalized in the damage realm. Number of times murder of crows, barbed shot, cobra used grows as I level.

Inb4 this gets better at 340+. I know this, well. its getting to that 340+ that is not the most fun really. first its 320+ avg to see warfronts.

My horde DH was lucky enough to catch that few days of the very first warfront. You know…the one with no limits for a few days besides being level 120. they tbh were my most liked run. fresh 120 straight of questing, in the warfronts, 340 all dropped slots in 2 days…man it was nice.

2 120’s followed her. Nice? Not so much.

I mean, you could always join a group with your friends and turn the party into a raid.

didn’t they patch out a raid crew can’t do questing though and benefit from it? Not sure of details but recall it some patch note since 8.0.

Well then discuss the problems of lower level bgs being ruined by twinks with xp off. It’s absolutely horrible. You seem to be encouraging it.

How about leaving it enabled in PVP content, but as soon as you do anything PVE related, you gain XP as usual. Or are 110’s also overpowered against players as well?

How about leaving it alone. Players who level lock for non PvP purposes aren’t hurting anyone.

The more options Blizzard cuts off the more players will continue to leave the game.

Enough.

Fix what’s wrong with the game. Stop looking for new ways to piss off the player base. For god’s sake.
