Disabling XP Gains on 110+ Characters

I’ll say what I want, when I want, and if you don’t like it, then you can pretend you’re not seeing my posts and ignore me. How’s that cupcake?

Still amazes me that you guys dont know how were gonna react to things. Hire people that actually play the game & they would have told you this was a bad idea.

If the only reason is island expeditions for this change then just make it so you cant do island expeditions till 115 or something, there are millions of reasons people stay at 110 and throwing a nuke at the problem is not the solution!

Way to cater to the few, whole ignoring the needs of the majority. I already about 100+ because of this issue and WM because of bored 120s making life miserable for leveling wm people. 110 content hiring, so no point doing that more than once. Finally do something to make having higher tolerable and you change your mind for the few.

Y’all’s priorities are completely out of whack. The game seems like it’s withering on the vine, and y’all are going after people trying to get to the actual endgame so they can play quicker.

So the problem you are stating is that there are people powerleveling others. I don’t really see an issue there personnaly since some players actually enjoy being able to help others but for the sake of discussion let’s agree we don’t want that.

Having isolated the problem, we can work toward a solution. What about we disable the xp gains for everyone that is purposely grouped with someone that has XP gains disabled. By purposely grouped I mean that of course we can’t do that for people using the matchmaking groups (random BGs and dungeons) but these are usually ephemeral groups so it shouldn’t have much of an impact of the others. Would that work?

Looks like this is more important than the IOC battle ground exploits.

This is what needs to happen. This will give levelers better options in the Battlegrounds too and not feel so weak.

Additionally, consider the whole picture here. You say that players at 110 and above should be experiencing the current content. They are experiencing it. I’ve been into every BFA zone and done every quest the Alliance has to offer me at 119. And I’ve done the Horde only dungeons. Here’s an idea, open up those dungeons in the LFD tool for Alliance below 120 (we only have 4 options right now), and vice versa for the Horde, currently we have to make our own groups.

And thanks to those 110-111’s and 115’s they’ve done more Island Expeditions than probably 10x your average 120.

" Update
We’ve been thinking about this plan more today and agree that there are probably better ways to approach this issue. We’re going to hold off on this for the time being while we discuss."

Good to see blizzard taking a step back to actually think for a minute

I have tried so bloody hard to not be one of those who blasts Activision-Blizzard for changes I don’t agree with or see no point to it but this is simply stupid.

I have a 110 I have stuck at 110, cause I want to experience all the stuff I missed when I used a level boost on him. I should be able to do this. My running around in my Garrison at 110 isn’t hurting everyone. However for the actions of a very very small group of people, you are levying a punishment that affects those just trying to find some fun left in this game.

BFA isn’t fun. At this point the prior expansions are far more fun and some of us want to experience them instead of enter the wave of M+ grinds against dungeons that got their trash mobs wholesale at CostCo, Warmode that has you face 5 to the fifth power of outnumbering foes, the Horde leader being written like she took her lessons on leadership from the shrink’s notes at an 80s Cartoon Villains Support Group, Azerite calling you up and saying it’s really so much better than Artifacts and you should totally give it a chance even though it can’t be bothered to put in any effort into the relationship when really you just want to spend another night with Ashbringer than take Muradin’s Flea Market bracelet and being told that there is fun to be had in Kul Tiras provided you take on the role of Social Services and help several negligent turtle parents because they can’t be bothered to actually handle their kids themselves.

If we want to actually have FUN in this game, then we should be allowed to.

If someone is abusing a system, go after THEM. Don’t place us on the chopping block just cause someone outsmarted the system.

What next? Kul Tiras racial unlocks requires an Uldir clear, Totollan Exalted and having max level Azerite?

I have a little happiness left in me from this game Activision-Blizzard, you forgot to stomp it COMPLETELY out.

Good god, yes please. Lack of haste is making all classes feel so slow; my casters especially. I like fast paced combat and stopped playing Guild Wars 2 because the combat felt like I was spending more time standing around waiting for stuff to come off cooldown than I was actually using my abilities. More haste, please, Blizz.

Give it time, they’ll find a way to screw it up.

Really good idea. Either twinking is something that is allowed or not allowed.

Changing rules mid-expansion is never a good idea.
