Disable loot spec changing or give it a CD

the funny thing is you can get those lfr tier mogs from the dream surge lol

I forgot about that too haha. With lfr I usually just pass on everything anyways, i usually just run it for the 6 tokens.

No thank you.

If I help down a boss I should have the same chance at loot as everyone else.

Sometimes I DPS on my tank, sometimes I tank on my DPS, and I will set my lootspec to whatever loot I am after.

As far as transmog, there should be no such thing as “transmog” category of rolling, because a transmog roll is a need roll.

Transmog will last someone their entire wow lifespan. Degenerates are the people rolling on gear because it has better stats knowing they will replace that gear for even more stats in a few weeks anyway.

Not how it works, if i roll for mog, then others will roll need for mog as well, i have no chance to win this way as need always precedes.

Blizz could fix it by having it so if someone has a gear of a certain rank, the ranks below it are unlocked for mogging.

Also… who plays LFR for the gear upgrades? lmao
Go outdoors and get higher ilvl gear.

actually, the funny thing is that you cannot get the LFR tints for weapons from the dream surges because you cannot use the catalyst to convert weapons.

so if you are after LFR tint of ashkandur, you can only get it from LFR.

Ya, but I was talking about tier, but I understand your point

there is a really easy fix for this problem… all blizzard needs to do is unlock all appearances below the item you get.

say i get a mythic ashkandur, then i should unlock the mythic, heroic, normal and LFR tints of it.

that’s such an easy fix… idk why it hasnt been done yet.

My assumption is it’s some combination of three things:

  1. It keeps players in the game longer. The player who cares enough to get all appearances of an ashkandur to put extra came time into it has to farm the same item up to 4 times, which will keep him in WoW for longer than if he can get it at the highest difficulty he’s able and then being done.

  2. Blizzard understands that most LFR bosses die almost exclusively from the contributions of the handful of overgeared players knowledgable of the fights with everyone else effectively being a carry. Even with determination stacks, there are many fights where a complete disregard for the mechanics will result in a wipe and performance can be so poor that enrage timers come into play. If players who can routinely clear higher difficulties have no reason to be in those raids, their failure rates would rise significantly.

  3. They feel they have bigger fish to fry. I could very easily see this item being on some analyst’s backlog to solve but it’s never higher priority than other things on their to-do list.

They participated in the content. They have as much right to the loot as anyone else who participated.

yeah i mean this is the center of my argument

-overgeared players contributed to the boss kill, much moreso than the undergeared players, so the overgeared players have just as much right to roll need on the loot for mog as the undergeared players have to roll on it for an ilvl upgrade.

personally, i dont mind going into LFR and rolling need on the gear for mog, but so many of the undergeared players complain about it.

and yeah, there are so many times doing LFR sark that the last three people alive are me, a tank, and a single healer…without me, the boss likely would not have ever been defeated by the group. (but for some reason, the undergeared players still complain that i don’t “need” the loot and therefore i have no right to roll on it lol)

and even funnier to me, is the fact that when i join a low level mythic plus to get a chest that i can catalyst into LFR tier chest tint, say the chest drops for me (it’s my personal loot), then an undergeared player asks me if they can have it, but i say no, i need it for mog, they literally start insulting me and harrassing me because they think they are entitled to my personal loot since i have a higher ilvl in that slot.

undergeared players… sometimes… are the most toxic players.

Bingo! However, ppl can’t accept that they lost a roll. They have to make sure the person who won really needed it by their standards. Rofl.

Imagine having ashkandur.

I certainly can’t.

sets loot spec to arms every time I open vault, heroic cache from timewalking/mythic week, and neltharion kill

Oh I’m with you 100%. People trying to claim a larger “need” for an item that everyone participated in earning is silly. I was just offering up an opinion as to why Blizzard may not have done anything to address the issue of overgeared players being there in the first place.

If they won the roll, it’s their loot. Wanting everyone punished because you feel entitled to something that isn’t even your own is weird.

roll better, scrub

No analyst is going to be able to solve the problem of people just feeling entitled to every drop. GL already gives players looking for useable gear better chances than PL and people can’t see past “how dare someone who also participated roll against me!”

I guess my only question is, why are you in lfr doing your gearing? That’s such a terrible place to get your gear right now. But I agree with you, people shouldn’t be in there for trasmog. Or anywhere for that matter lol. Mog in this game sucks.

You can turn world event gear into LFR and Normal tier colorations. This isn’t why people go into LFR.

They did. Get world gear. It’s easier.

People go into LFR for off specs or new main specs to get trinkets, weapons, etc. They also can’t roll on tier if they already have it at the same or higher ilevel.

This was me the entire patch on multiple characters, finally got it this week >_<

No, but the point I was responding to was specifically about having lower difficulty tints be unlocked when you gain the higher difficulty item as a way to reduce how often overgeared players feel compelled to go into LFR in the first place.
