Funny thing is yesterday, on Era, I saw a paladin with a wizard RP set in SW and had to whisper him how amazing his set was.
Not only did the take the effort to gather the items, but he setup the item-rack to swap, carried all the extra items in his bags, then made the effort to swap out of his battle gear for the set when he was in a safe area.
Even his discord avatar is a screenshot of his amazing RP set!
If everyone was running around in RP sets he woulda just been a drop in the ocean. But instead he shined like a wise wizard (except his set was purple ).
You just proved my point. It has nothing to do with the outfit. It has to do with how special you think it was to see.
In a world where everyone can have that fun and dress up how they want it’s no longer ‘‘special’’ to you. But yet every single one of those people are having fun looking how they want and creating outfits.
You don’t get to limit other players so something can seem more special to you. It’s a video game made for fun. They made how their characters look and they deserve others to see them as they intended.
Unique doesn’t equal good, fun, or interesting. A wort on your behind may be the most unique thing ever but it’s still a wort on a butt.
Which is why I wonder why you are intent on forcing players to potentially have members of their party or parts of a city running around potentially looking like clowns.
It is world of WARcraft and people are actually wearing gear for war, why force people to see other gear than what they are actually wearing?
I don’t think any player deserves anything. It is a game in which lots of players will have different view on what is good.
I just think it is a bit strange that so much of the retail forums are so in agreement that unwilling players should be forced to see their RP sets.
Yeah. How about they just add toggles for everything possible in the game? My lord people are so entitled and now I have seen everything where peoples transmogs really bother someone that much. LMAO.
This comment section is wild lol. So many people trying to misconstrue so much. Its not even worth replying to anyone individually.
But yes I would Rather see the newest sets on everyone/whatever content they are currently doing as that increases my immersion in the game. You don’t have to like it. I don’t get that ooh look at that person anymore because they farmed a raid one shotting everything and are wearing a transmog from it. Again its fine if any of you do. I just personally don’t.
It would also be a client side toggle for the person saying it would “increase” bandwidth. It would either have no effect or reduce it since you are no longer requesting the information for transmog.
Corgi Goggles makes everyone look like a Corgi, so you still have to “inspect” everyone to see gear and not be lazy. That’s the opposite of what the OP wants.
The fact that OP is asking for this, as well as the reasoning why, is very funny considering they have Fashionable Undershirt and their Guild Tabard mogged to hidden.
