I just thought to myself, “I would love to do a battleground right now.” I quickly stopped myself when I realized that I haven’t PVP’d since the start of the expansion, and now I’ll be a detriment to my team and will not enjoy a single moment of PVP.
When will Blizz balance PVP? It could be as simple as scaling gear, or making ilvl matchmaking algorithm.
Gearing is the easiest it’s ever been.
There difference between the honour set and conquest set is only 13 ilvls in total.
Worst case, just wait for the AB Comp Stomp. You can fully honour gear a character in about 2 hours.
Otherwise, farm honour in epic BG’s and hide in the crowd.

I’ll have 2 main piece of conquest that can be converted to tier, full honor set and both 421 weapons in less than 24 hours of hitting max level and i am a terrible rogue failing in every aspect of rogue pvp
If you want to pvp then you’ll find a way
Gearing from nothing at this stage is incredibly time consuming and mind numbing. Conquest acquisition is snail slow, and you’ll only play against geared people the whole time. The only time gearing has been more difficult is when certain pieces were behind a rating wall; it’s still just as time consuming and just as miserable as it ever was.
I mean, if you have all the time in the world like the guy that posted above me, then I guess it doesn’t matter. Alas, honor gear is basically toilet paper now.

just because you came late doesn’t mean you get to skip everything everyone else had to do.
I don’t think Smaugh is viable now and he has 3 pieces of tier and some extra purple. He was close to getting the crafted helm and 4th tier piece but I abandoned him because it got to the point I couldn’t win a game. I’d top heal but still lose, on my dps I sat in a camp and had 21 kbs but we never broke it. I’ve been pulled into several camps in progress, there’s something happening.
It’s not about individual gearing, it’s power gaps and a system that creates mismatches if power isn’t matched. I think that’s why the queue system worked in WoD and not here, their not including tier in lower gear created a power difference too great for a fifo system to handle and still make good matches. So while individual gearing is easy the gap between new and well geared is too wide.
Its not really time consuming to get honor gear, but man does it suck. You’re gonna die a lot even with the crafted PvP gear.
Start with the weapon. After getting that everything else will come quickly. Then, look up the infurious gear for your character and buy the materials and make a crafting order. Those should be fulfilled in less than an hour, and total gold spent will be around 8k each piece.
I started Smaug in greens and he was useful right away then viable with just a couple of honor pieces. I didn’t go through a can’t win period until the end.
Just queue epics and sit in a vehicle.
People wont be happy till the gameplay is just handed to them…

Dvokers are a different breed. Mine is in M+ and raid gear my empowered spells hit like a truck in PvP. Always have. Personally, I couldn’t play it in PvP for too long. The rotation feels a little clunky and the dvokers feels like it’s still trying to find it’s place in PvP.
they shouldnt have a place anywhere, it was another complication that needed to take a backseat to the rest of the classes that are unbalanced. gimmicky and terrible looking tbh.
Any heroic class seems to enjoy some level of power, prevokers are pretty easy to run and put up big numbers just dragon breathing team fights. I see devokers doing well even if they’re not top dps, they bring a lot of annoyances to the other team.
every one of those classes should have been removed at the end of their respected expansions, every one of them.
They could be balanced better. I couldn’t see giving up my DK after Wrath, he’s brought much joy to the world with his greatness.
I was in the same situation about two weeks ago, maybe three. Not a single piece of PvP Gear. As of now, I have 7 of 16 pieces honor gear, 9 of 16 pieces of conquest gear AND a tier set bonus. My PvP ilevel is 418.
You can get a FULL set of honor gear (411 PvP ilevel) in a matter of hours, literally.
They wont ever balance it. The dont care to put the effort into it.
PVE is their main focus
