Didnt go far enough with BG split

Sever only bgs pls.

I remember back in Vanilla how we used to run into the same people over and over. We got to know the names on our servers. Now? Not so much. Just names we’ll not remember and probably only rarely see again.

I want them to be intimate communities again.

To me that was the must fun from vanilla. You grew to love/hate people, be it in bgs or out in the world.

I’d rather get a queue to pop while I still have time to play. I’m not planning to have you over for tea.

We’re about six months too late for that. Should have been this way at launch when there were a lot of people, and battlegrounds should have been put in day one. We’d have good pvp communities on servers, there would have been a lot less complaints about omgworldpvp and probably AV wouldn’t have been an issue.

The Horde in Stalagg would need to transfer on the spot. Lol

the servers are not balanced enough for this to work, queues would be long af, low levels dead

Unfortunately this aint vanilla, and a lot of server communities couldn’t support this because of population imbalance AND lack of pvp interest from alliance. If it’s single server AND cross faction (horde v horde) enabled sure.
But imagine a 70-30 horde favored server, with 2h+ horde q times- where do you think those people would go? It would be phase 2 all over again and the population disparity would grow even faster.

What if they just tried to match people on the same server first and then brought in cross-realm players as a backup? Win-win? :woman_shrugging:

That’s a really solid idea Arlenadja! It would allow same server competition to flower while still keeping Q’s low. I don’t know if and how they would implement it, but it’d be really neat to play against players on your own server at least some of the time. In our premade WSG, some of the most fun games have been against premades from our own server, intense rivalries

Actually a really nice compromise.

I dont want to compromise, but +1 for thought.

Imagine waiting 4+ hours for a BG to pop.

Imagine that being Alliance and waiting 4 hours for a queue pop… Heartseeker would have 1000 Horde transfer in a heartbeat.

Been saying this for months, same-server BGs would balance the servers as best as they can be at the quickest rate possible. All while increasing the vanilla ‘community’ feel. It honestly baffles me that people are against this in Classic. Keep fighting the good fight.

PREACH PREACH PREACH!!

I came here to experience a game I never got to play in my youth, and although I thoroughly enjoy classic with all its faults, I even see were the actual vanilla veterans are coming from.

Heartseeker Horde at any one time other than Tuesdays has enough Horde to maybe fill two AVs!
Oh the Alliance tears from Heartseeker would overflow my glass.

10-59 twinks and levelers had this. Now we just lost half our friends, both ally and horde.

Yeah, and it resulted in lots of smack talk on the server forum. Now the forum is just a ghost town.

Sure, and then if the cross realm isn’t enough, they can pull from east or west coast servers, so that levelers don’t have to be hampered by this newest change.

Would love to see it. Never too late @Blizzard, do the right thing.

No one is going to reroll this late into classic. If you wanted this change it needed to happen at the start, and preferably after Blizzard had put hard caps on faction populations to keep servers relatively balanced.

While I don’t disagree with you in terms of when it should have been implemented, I still don’t think it’s too late.
