I saw it on YT, in the English broadcast I saw at least 150k connected; In the Spanish-Mx edition we were 20k. I didn’t look in other languages.
If they released the rewards all together, the servers would crash, and then you would complain because the servers would crash due to the drop of mounts.
Relax… be patient, said Loremaster Cho.
The 7 day cooldown is for connecting to a new Battle.net account. If you are connecting to the same one it doesn’t trigger the cooldown.
Sweet. Thank you
I’m a bit worried because the “Connected” word is not appearing underneath the video for me. Battle.net is connected to YouTube according to the later settings, and I even connected Battle.net to my Google account just for good measure, then reloaded the video like a dozen times and it never says it’s “Connected”. I did watch the presentation, but now I’m worried I won’t receive the mounts.
Check here under youtube to see if your battlenet account is connected.
It is, it always says it’s connected there, it’s just in the video that it doesn’t appear, no matter how many times I update the page.
Same here, I’ve 4 other family members living with me and all but me got the drops so far.
I just logged in and my mounts were wrapped presents in my mount collection. Nothing to claim on the launch screen.
Logged in before work and the rewards were there. Yay!!!
Answer is directly above you:
I’m having the same exact issue. My accounts are connected, but it doesn’t say “connected” underneath the video on youtube as it says it should.
I’ll wait 24h and see if I get the mounts. If not, and if we don’t get the “connected” under the video after that either, I’ll see if Blizzard support can do anything about it.
If you’re trying to watch it on YT now, it will not qualify as it now archived playback, not livestreamed.
That shouldn’t matter. Users should have until Dec 11th to watch and claim the drops.
Blizzard cannot do anything about another site, like YouTube or Twitch. You would need to contact them about the connection.
Correct, and they do. But from that same article as I mentioned in another thread, it states:
Viewers can watch on any Warcraft, Hearthstone, or Warcraft Rumble stream on Twitch or TikTok to earn rewards during the giveaway period**.
The next YouTube stream is coming up on Friday:
Confusing wording is confusing. I (and I’d hazard many others) thought it meant we had a few weeks to watch the video to get the rewards. Thanks for clarifying more.
That being said, if they did want a YouTube promotion to behave differently, there’s sure to be mention of such when someone is able to.
I’m personally curious how there are no current lives for WoW on YouTube at the moment, but I’m also not a content creator so I can’t be bothered to learn the ins and outs or pros and cons of the different platforms.
This is pretty annoying, I couldn’t watch the stream because I’m at work, so I watched the video when I got home. Same thing for friday. I’ll have to try my luck on saturday, then.
I know everyone has their reasons and whatnot, but are you firmly against Twitch? Seems that would be the easiest opportunity because streamers can be active whenever they want and there’s generally no shortage any time of day.
