Didn't Age Well?

Out of all the classic expansions we been through this far, which one do you feel did NOT age well the most?

Wrath 100%

wrath game was so dead at the end

It was active until SoD.

Wrath. Got straight up booty blasted by GDKP spam and people requiring you to have 1000000000 GS, every single raid achieve and be connected with the Illuminati just to get an invite to a faceroll 10 man that can be cleared in Naxx loot from 2 patches ago.

ICC 10 man was the easiest thing known to man and people were requiring you sacrifice your child for an invite.

Maybe that’s the problem. Maybe everyone is becoming tyrannical and wants to punish all the easiest paths to success.

Some things wrong with WotLK but I consider this to be a 100% player created problem. Gear score is dumb, but it happened in original too.

wrath felt very lack luster, the pvp was def 100% overhyped

Cata. Already starting to remember why I quit during Cata the first time.

The group content is just so damned boring.

In all fairness that’s because blizzard actively messed with Wrath to make it worse.

I think they have all been pretty good, so far, but it also seems like WoW started out incredibly strong, and got progressively worse over time.

Wrath was definitely horrible. Bunch of sweaty players requiring 6k gs on only like the third week of ICC made me quit and not come back til the very end where you could gear up easily from the essence vendors and dungeon spamming.

Actually now that I think about it, I didn’t really enjoy any of the classic eras because I never realized how crappy the rotations of each class were. lol.

Cataclysm is the only classic expansion that I’m actively playing and enjoying the most out of all the eras, but I guess you could just say that I’m enjoying retail in its earliest iteration lmao

Many Quit when they realized Wrath servers weren’t permanent and being wiped so all their progress was lost.

This helped kill Wrath since there was no reason to really play with Cata coming to destroy those servers and SOD was something new.

Wrath and Cata.

Jesus was Wrath just… not fun. People ended up policing the hell out of the game and the casuals left whenever SoD and classic Cata were announced. Blizz really wanted classic Wrath dead.

Was pleasantly surprised to find out that TBC did age super well and it wasn’t just my nostalgia.
