Banging away with a blacksmith hammer to forge some iron plate armour. With the occasional cry of “Excelsior!”
or
somewhere in Lower Blackrock Spire, near the Spire Spiders and/or Crystal Fang. Just out of harms way. Randomly selling Ironweb Spider Silk, Shadow Silk, Thick Spider Silk, Huge Venom Sacs, Immature Venom Sacs, White Spider Meat. And always with supplies of (junk) Spider Palp, Bloody Spider Fang, Rigid Spinneret, Dripping Spider Mandible, Hard Spider Leg Tip. (All these drop here anyway. But useful for those crafting old style stuff)
or
in the area of the Darkmist Broodqueen in Dustwallow Marsh. As above, selling crafting mats and spider themed trash as per the local loot table, so once again not really game breaking.
I saw the Wowhead video about it and the Horde and Civilian versions of him. As greatful as I am, I still feel Havengames and Totalbiscuit should’ve had in WoW, not Starcraft, tribute NPC’s before Stan “The Man” Lee.
It’s so sad that he passed away, but I really love how Blizzard goes out of their way to add the people we love to game.
I won’t mention some of the others just because it’s sad to think about, but Stan Lee will be missed.
I just watched a Marvel movie a few days ago, and Stan Lee popped up for his cameo, and I was so conflicted. I loved seeing him but again it was very sad.
I just want to say thank you Blizzard, because this means a lot to me and I’m sure to a lot of people.
Would love for there to be a Jake Kerbie (i.e. Jack Kirby) wandering around some old battleground area, maybe Hillsbrad or wherever, asking… “Has anyone seen the Cap’n?” or “Has anyone seen Steve?” (this time Steve Rogers)
Not in the least, since I have no idea who those people are even after you guys mention them on the forums.
Nearly everyone I know is aware of who Stan Lee is, or recognize the importance when you say, “He created Iron Man, (The Marvel Comics) Thor, (The Newer Reboot of ) Captain America, Spider Man, The Avengers, etc.”
Stan Lee got to be a “Skinny Kul’Tiran”, because it is the absolutely perfect body type for how he looked in real life before his death. This is exactly why the homage to him is dead-on perfect.
I got to meet him super briefly by a odd chance! Was in comic con San Jose first year they had it. I just got done seeing his live panel, and I was by a isle where someone was making comic books of him and his wife. He decided to come check it out, he walked right next to me (I wasn’t paying attention) telling me thanks for coming and then security pushed me away and all these people came to swarm lol! I wish I snagged a pic, was so cool to be so close to him.
Super funny guy too! I’m greatful he was able to see his company be left in good hands:) and the best thing is, his works will live on forever!
