Right now I’m really enjoying sword spec because I was using Spinal Reaper forever.
I think they’re both good it basically comes down to preference. With sword spec I got 28.30% crit in Battle Stance with Axe I’d be at 33.30%. The extra crit on Axe is noticeable but sword spec can be really strong and more fun, especially on lower armor targets.
I might go back to Axe though with the +15% Damage 4pc T2.5 Shoulder Enchant next phase if I find it better than T2 4pc or 6pc T1.
with HoJ and windfury, extra attacks are great and can proc others. Faster attacking also generally leads to more chances and they give you a million ways to all hit for the same amount, using every GCD (unlike vanilla). I’m liking sword as a result. Even though deep wounds was buffed its a backloaded type of damage and sword is more dopamine.
I tried some timeworn stuff, was not impressed… but I rock sword anyways.

Axe spec gives nothing during rek, sword spec extra attacks are amazing and no longer require spamming hamstring for max dps - you have quick strike. Axe might win overall but sword spec is so much fun esp paired with wft/hoj.
