Did they Buff / Fix Mortal Strike yet?

Sorely needed a buff as the capstone talent hits like a wet noodle compared to the other availability abilities for Warrior and other classes. Wasn’t going to invest my time into SOD until they fixed Arm’s, specifically Mortal Strike’s, damage output. Mortal Strike needs to be 200% weapons damage as originally intended!

Nope, best I could do is a 3% buff to thunderous roar

200% weapon damage MS would still hit for less in PvP than it does on Classic Era

no, too busy making 2h melee hunter, 1 h melee hunter, all hunter ranged specs… too busy making all 3 talent trees of rogue S tier in PVE and PVP. Too busy making 1h enhance 2h enhance ele resto and tank sham. Healing mages and rogue lock tanks.

Warriors only get 2 talent trees in SoD. Zirene, a dev, even said so on his twitter.

chimera shot currently will have an average hit of 4x what mortal strike does… and they dont have a real resource to consider, can do it at range, and can double tap it with a trap reset…

Warrior needs a massive boost in Mortal strike damage as arms. Then as a playstyle it needs to revolve around having a higher base damage for dungeons, pvp, open world content, etc. It should be doing at LEAST Ret level damage (a hybrid that has far more survivability and utility than an Arms warrior).

A heroic throw similar to SW:D cooldown that applies 5x sunders (since priest and rogue can insta apply 5x now…why??). MS should slap. Overpower and MS can interact to create a bleed based on weapon damage. Rend should do actual damage. Just massive overhaul. As it is, balance druid dots tic harder than what an Arms warrior can do with any special attack its dumb. On PTR for phase 5 I could cast a 1.0 sec starfire for 10k damage… lmao. Meanwhile the BiS warrior template could CRIT like a 2.5k mortal strike on a target that ALREADY had 0 armor… yikes.

At the end of last phase Arms needed a 50% overall dps boost to catch a ret.

best they could do is “drop support” for the spec, warrior gets 2 talent trees in SoD

I decided to re-roll warrior for P5, and coming from a BiS P4 Hunter i am very underwhelmed so far. Granted, the playstyle is fun as fury, But im doing absolute trash dps and constantly at the back of my raid team on the meter.

I know warriors are very dependent on gear/set bonus, so i am hoping that once i get that I will have a better showing. But yea, still leagues away from where i thought the class would be, granted their original performance in classic 2019…

honestly in organized pvp having at least 1 shot caller ms warrior is essential.

The answer is yes. Arms with the right gear and skills is great. I destroy people left and right. Most warriors queue up for BGs with 4K hp in pve gear and get wrecked. That’s why people think warriors suck.

gotta say ive seen your pvp videos and will agree but only cause youve left in some long form videos that are more than just crit highlights and you still did well.

warriors that know how to play and gear are scary in pvp. organized or not even.

Nope, a mortal strike still trades with a boomkin for 1/8th the damage of a 1.0 sec cast starfire. Does less dmg than starsurge, and druid with starsurge, moonfire, and sunfire only will out dps you. Starfall during its duration by itself will also out dps you lol.

Zirene said Arms is the one spec/playstyle that wasnt updated for SOD and has no further upkeep. Warriors gets 2 talent trees in SoD. They needed to make time/room for other classes like hunter to get 3 talent trees, ranged specs, and 1h/2h melee specs, rogues to have all 3 talent trees usable in PVP/PVE + a tank spec, tank locks, mage healers, etc. Arms was dropped from SoD.

youre talking to a dude that posts videos of killing fresh players when he gets 90% crit rate rng lol. Spriest isnt supports to have less than 3k hp in a bg…

Fury DPS is a bottom dps spec at the 90th percentile on a fight like Broodlord because of the time it takes to kill it (around a minute). It does top to middle-top dps on Razorgore where the fight is less than 30 seconds and you have basically full deathwish uptime which is +20% dmg.

Arms is the worst dps in the game, needing a flat overall 70% dps boost to catch ret paladins in a raid environment that favors the warrior compared to open world gameplay. Arms is not updated for SoD and is built to do no damage. To do damage, you have to be fury, in raid, with full world buffs, on fights where you have maximum uptime on deathwish. Anything else, in any other situation, youre at the bottom or last place.
