Did the timewalking dungeon change go into effect

If so… I can’t tell the difference at all. Things are still falling over instantly.

Speak for yourself. I tried to level a new character through timewalking and I was dying constantly.

Any boss mechanic, or even trash “mechanics” that weren’t treated with the utmost care resulted in instant death.

Sounds like a skill issue. I just leveled a druid from 10-80 today and stuff melted and nobody ever died unless they were standing in bad stuff.

0.05 seconds of standing in bad stuff should not be instant death in queueable content.

You mean the stuff on the ground that is telegraphed for like 5 seconds to get out of before it’s even cast?

Again. Sounds like a skill issue.

I was asking an honest question, wanting to know if any of the changes to timewalking went into effect, because honestly, I can’t tell. It seems the same now as it did last time I did timewalking a few weeks ago.

That’s too much for LFR heroes.

At low level? Really? Were you naked? I had that experience in the mid to high 70s in mostly-heirlooms (which is almost like having an empty slot at that level), but at low levels, even after having things tamped down, you shouldn’t be dying instantly… Hrm.

THere are 1 shot mechanics in some of the dungeons, but you literally have to be spaced out to get hit by them.

it only brought them in line with heroic dungeons

Right on, still feels like trivialized content. Rightfully so I guess… it is timewalking afterall.

Sorry but Plynch is right here when the fire in KR hits for 9k at every level from 10-80 it’s not a skill issue.

The fact that you’re getting hit by it… is the skill issue. I’ve yet to die a single time and I just leveled my 2nd toon up to 80 today using timewalking. (As in I leveled 2 80’s today via timewalking)

I didn’t notice anything “different” when I did the quest 1 time. Though TWing when I don’t need to level anything is pretty “meh”. 5 dungeons for 1 piece of loot takes me almost an hour and it’s just boring.

Agreed, I only level toons using it. I never do it at 80 (Unless its like the VERY start of a season and i can use the champion gear from the reward or somethign silly.

The only 80’s I have done it on have to be brand new 80s where I will also get upgrades in the dungeons (which right now is 610ilvl) though most of my toons are already 610+ too so I don’t even need that lol

the fire

You mean Burn Corruption? The thing with a massive visual indicator to get out or you’re going to die? The thing that’s tagged in the DJ as ‘deadly’?

Yeah I bet the thing that’s supposed to kill you might kill you.

Spit Gold, the first boss’ mechanic that’s supposed to be hurty but not deadly is routinely doing about 5% of the target’s hp per tick. That dot was the most memorable damage to me in M+, in TW it’s nothing.

The scaling is off on some of the bosses for lower levels. Something that’s no big deal at all for my level 70 was one shotting my level 20-something yesterday. Admittedly she is also a squishy rogue, but all of the others of a similar level were having the same issue.

So yeah there’s visual indicators, but you’re expecting it to hurt but not insta-kill you if you make a mistake, since that’s what usually happens with the bosses otherwise.

There’s also some people who seem to not be paying much attention to the fact that stuff is taking a bit longer to kill - not a lot longer, but a little bit, enough that if you have, say, a lower level healer and you pull half the dungeon to a boss, the healer is going to struggle to keep just the tank healed. Got to watch that happen today. (Healer eventually got taken out by some of the trash because there was so much of it to avoid, then the tank died. Should’ve paid more attention to how your healer was keeping up with you, my dude.)

If it’s suppose to kill you then it should do more than 9k to a level 80. Then I would agree with you. When you only need skill if you’re under level 30 it’s a poorly scaled ability. It’s not the best example, there are others. I haven’t ran any on low levels, have just seen many reports of random one shots

Yeah, TW got ‘buffed’ with 11.1.7, but it’s still only around heroic dungeon level. It’s just that now it’s heroic dungeon level for S2, instead of wherever it was prior which was somewhere between S1 normals and S1 heroics.

But at the same time, some stuff hasn’t had scaling applied properly so it does the same damage regardless of character level. That’s probably because BfA timewalking is new and as usual, Blizz can’t get new stuff right out of the gate.
