We have exclusively been playing only 1800+ rated teams at 1k.
We have lost 22 games in a row.
None of us have PvPed past 1400 ever.

It’ll always be like this to some extent at the start of the season what with so many people doing their placements. Shadowlands might be particularly bad in this regard because I think that a lot of the lower brackets just kind of got demoralized (gear disparities, break-neck metas, etc) and quit, or aren’t playing as much.

Im going to put off doing 3s until probably April honestly. The higher skill players should be well out of the rating brackets im stuck in
He said he’s never been above 1400 and he is likely queing into ppl who were 2400+ last season.
Inflated or nor its still a huge skill and knowledge gap for him to overcome.
This, stick it out man, watch some guides, get proper addons and try to fix where your going wrong at. You’ll improve, keep at it.
Might also help to go ret.

We won our 11th game finally, ended 11-71. To no ones surprise it was a 1600 rated team that someone messed up and just didn’t bubble. We are PvE’ers just trying to max tier, it was kind of absurd to see RMP and we literally just don’t even get to play while we die lol. Our max rating played against was 1933, and the lowest we played was 1321. Our MMR was 1400 after being a 1800 team that left the moment they engages, and ever since that happened we could never play a real team that wasn’t 1800 ish.

I actually noticed a few people in solo shuffle with a scoreline like this.
Perhaps they made it harder to drop mmr.
I think so. I was playing like 600 MMR above my CR Tuesday, tonight I’m like 150 higher.
Pretty sure the reason for this is your playing other teams in their placements. By next week everything should even out and most people will be done with placements on all their characters and be closer to where they belong.
Wait for next week or keep trying. I’ve been getting beat up this season too and you probably only run a weird comp like me “thug” with a resto druid.
Also don’t be scared to try different builds as holy if you not already.

Learn what you can from better teams, stop looking at your win/loss, improve and have some fun.
When morale dips, start a drinking game. First death takes a shot. Whomever was in a cc or lock out when that death occurred takes a drink.
RIP to your whole team on a work night if you chain queue into an RMP.
Telling someone to use this as a learning experience to get better is ridiculous. There is clearly an issue with the system if this is taking place. If placement games are suppose to last only 10 games then why should we be subjected to playing other teams during their placements after we are done? Of course they still need an opponent but the obvious choice is to match them with other placements, not the guy who is 10-70.
I have played 50 games around 1550-1600 mmr and we are consistently still playing teams between 1800-2000. We tried to switch to alts and test the system after losing most of our placement games. Even at 1100 mmr we are still queueing into 1800-2000 mmr teams after more than 20 games.
For context, I have played every game with the same players and we have a 30% win rate playing both comps between 10pm-12am EST. I am not concerned with my ability level as the past two seasons we have played past 2k in 2s and 3s which is in the 80% percentile of the player base. The issue is that something is clearly broken if we are playing teams 800 mmr above us game after game even after my team is out of placements.
Don’t worry buddy. I just came back from a year long break playing my undergeared mage and all I’ve fought are current r1s and glads.
I’ve actually just lost so many games to it, and I have historically been over 2700 in prior xpacs numerous times.
Full geared current glad players 1 tapping you with no real way to deal with it is dumb but you’ll get it.

I noticed gaining rating and mmr was much lower last night than the previous two nights. I think they definitely reset something. You have to not pay attention to rating too much very early in the season or you will be dissapointed. For example… in 2v2, only the top 10 players in all of the US are over 2200 right now, while you weren’t even on the 10th page of the leaderboards unless you were 2500+ at the end of last season.
Give it time, inflation will take place over the season. Don’t take your current rating too seriously. Just focus on improving and doing the best you can…the rating will increase overtime naturally.
