I play in a pretty casual guild and we can just barely get 5/6 down in one night. However, with more gear, more experience and probably a few full night on Vashj we will get it down to one night. People just need to be patient.
I also heard that on the world first kill every method raid member had a soul stone on them. I would also guess that they had priest spirit buff.
those were the final nerfs
Magtheridon went straight to his final nerfed state in phase 2 so.
It got nerfed eventually anyway, and a little before what we would call “phase 3.” They said way in advance that they would launch the raids in pre-nerf versions so players could experience them as they were initially, but would nerf them later
Hyjal attunement and Black Temple attunements were removed in 2.4. So that was the Sunwell Patach iirc.
Lady Vashj won’t mind control anymore, multishot damage reduced, add HP reduced by 30%. Sporebat HP reduced by 90%. Vashj’s Hp reduced to 4 million.
and toxic spores will no longer deal impact damage, thats a big one. basically cuts spore dmg in half
pre-nerf vashj had several, although there’s debates about the Nihilum kill.
Lol, theres no debate. They never entered P3. They killed her using a bug that reduced her HP to 1 after they wiped. Phase 3 being the only thing that makes the fight difficult… it wasn’t even remotely a legit kill. She also respawned immediately and they were unable to loot so there’s really no way you could possibly count that as a kill.
Method was the only guild to ever down her and they killed her exactly once pre-nerf. One =/= “several.”
I think it would be cool of they just made a heroic setting that was the un nerfed version of each raid. And add some kind of cosmetic or title for completing it in the relevant phase.
This is not pre-nerf Vashj, this is pre-nerf Vashj health points.
Do we know that P3 will drop before the holidays? Knowing blizz, they prefer to drop content after Christmas/New Years if the timing is close.
That’s still pretty good. We still wipe on trash lol. Although we’ve been going in with 23 people every night. Efficiency isn’t really our thing yet.
No… its definitely pre-nerf Vashj
This the latest patch. It’s not like they re-tuned the bosses to match that of the current gear or state of things at the point of raid release. People also need to keep in mind that this is the Retail architecture now where they needed to massage the data in order to fit the data model.
We aren’t getting “authentic” anything.
This is 100% pre nerf Vashj.
Go look at the nerfs to her later, we don’t have any of those changes in.
Sporebats have 40k HP they get nerfed later.
The poison stops doing initial damage and the damage per tick is reduced.
Vashj goes to a flat 4m HP.
Mind control is flat out removed.
Her shoot damage is reduced.
I might be missing some but None of that is in atm.
This is pre nerf Vashj
I’m not an elitist by any means but nerfing bosses like KT and Vashj to stupid levels is dumb.
Not everyone needs to clear everything, there are raids for easier content and if you cannot get it down, well then that’s too bad. I have many games I never beat and it is what it is.
This. 100%.
I couldn’t be happier that it is actually hard.
Target dummy bosses aren’t fun.

The version of Vashj coming in the next phase is the one 99.9999999999% of TBC guilds killed. I’ve got no problem with releasing that after 5 months of Vashj that is a challenge for good guilds of people who’ve been playing this game for 15 years.
im not sure why everyone thinks they have to go to the next tier as soon as it comes out. This is not how it was back then and shouldn’t be how it is now. You can always go back to old raids and get gear. No one is forcing you to try and do the next phase of raids with less than optimal gear.
Depends on how badly she was changed. If it would be like doing MC during patch 1.6 or 10 times worse 1.12 in Vanilla (without world buffs), that’d be awful. What I’m concerned about is that she gets turned into what nightbane is now.
