Phase 1 lasted a little too long at 3 and a half months. Phase 2 should be at least 4 months, probably 6. I know the super hardcore won’t like that, but mid level guilds will need a few months to farm t5 for gear.
Yea who knows what the schedule is.
This tier has been a blast so far.
Vashj isn’t even a fun level of difficulty. The mind control is stupid you should at least be able to CC them…
This version is even harder than the version that Method killed, because Method had world buffs which don’t work here.
Blizzard will milk the phase for at least 5 months.
That’s a good call I forgot all about that, I believe they were also able to stack consumes we currently can’t.
Vashj>All tbc bosses
pre-nerf KT was one of the few unkilled bosses. pre-nerf vashj had several, although there’s debates about the Nihilum kill.
this is false.
i killed both post pushback. M’uru was about 500 pulls more than Kj.
Yeah they did.
The versions I remember difffered quite significantly from what we’re doing now. Whether they are nerfs or buffs is subjective though.
Alar= Only flys between the central 4 points but spawns an add each time in phase 1.
Tidewalker= Summons less murlocs from the northern most door.
Solarian= Her dot mechanic changed to an aoe explosion thats a guranteed raid wipe if it pops in the ranged stack.
Leo- Spins less.
Vashj= No mind controls in p3, slower bat spawn rate.
I would argue M’uru is hardest.
It will forever thrive in your memory.
I guess we will see.
Even if muru is harder Vashj definitely isn’t far behind.
Your mileage may vary, but SK Gaming took 5 days for world first Kil’jaeden and killed pre-nerf M’uru in 4 nights.
at their level, a fight that’s 8 minutes of addburn and then a dps check is a lot faster than a 5-phase fight.
when you cant hit the numbers on the check… learning is done and you’re still not killing it.
M’uru is the perfect example of the boss that’s not difficult, but hard. WF pace is not a representation of world 150…or 250… or 1000 pace.
Unfortunately yes. If I was in a guild that was unable to kill nightbane, and now if we are now able to kill him soley because of this nerf. I would have quit. It’s no fun steamrolling over bosses just to get to the next tier. For me, it’s not about how fast we progress, but that we are at some rate - whether it be slow or fast.
Anyone that joins a guild that only raids 3 hours a week should just quit the game anyways.
My guild is clearing both TK/SSC not only once a week, but twice a week and it only takes 6 hours.

I guess but the raw dps value needed to phase Kil’jaeden before darkness kills your raid is higher than M’uru.
You need what, 32,000 raid boss dps to bring Kil’jaeden to 25% before the third darkness (3,780,000 damage needed 120 seconds to phase) while moving around for dragons/armageddon/killing shield orbs.
We’ll probably get the pre-nerf Kil’jaeden as well where the sinister reflections are immune to interrupts.
Looking at SK Gaming’s first M’uru kill their raid boss dps is 22,282 dividing Entropius’ HP by 92 seconds of uptime.
I imagine it’ll all be trivial for the hardcore min-maxers.
Now if only we could see your logs.
Do you enjoy flow chart flexing on a 15 year old game? Haha.
More power to you.
I only ever see him flexing but doesnt post on a toon where we can actually see if hes telling the truth.
This is what the bosses were in 2.4.3.
those were the final nerfs
kael and vashj got their first nerfs on bt patch 2.1 somethint
2.4 + is sunwell when t5 is mostly irrelevant
