I recently completed the 6-day quest line for Blanchy’s Reins, but upon completion, I never received the item.
I put in a ticket saying as much, but received a generic cut and paste answer; the GM answering my ticket obviously didn’t read it.
Now that I’ve completed it, I have no way of restarting the 6-day quest. Is this lost to me forever?
Just for clarification, no Game Master reviewed your ticket, you received a template response for tickets identified as quest/game hint related that we are sending out during periods of high ticket volume to try and address common issues. If you notice at the end of the email it says:
" Your ticket was identified to be about the issue addressed above. If this is not the case, please respond so a Game Master can manually review it."
It is there to encourage those that do not fall into the above category and need help still to reopen there ticket.
In your case, it doesn’t look like you need to as you do not yet qualify to receive the Reins.
It doesn’t look like you have given Blanchy a Dredhollow Apple yet, Hypnotika. I’m not sure if you can still do that today or need to wait for another one though.
Did you go back and talk to Dead Blanchy again?
It was likely a template answer, telling you that you should go to Wowhead.
They did. But a GM cannot give quest hints. That’s why you were sent to Wowhead to find the information on your own.

I did, yeah. A few hours later. Still no bueno.
Oh? Interesting. I did gather all the items before embarking on the 6-day quest so I didn’t have to race about each day, I also used the following text string to check whether or not the quest was complete, which it flagged as being such:

I have the same issue with apples, did you try next day?
I had to give Blanchy either an extra apple or extra oats. I think it was an apple. Thank goodness I had extra in my bag. You need to click on Blanchy again after the last request for a follow up item. At least that is what I had to do. Good luck!
